I see a couple of negative reviews posted. In my opinion these people didn't get the settlement they were expecting or hoping for and let their anger get the best of them.

I searched all around for a tax attorney to help me resolve an issue I was having with CA Franchise Tax Board. They were saying I owed past due business tax, but I knew they had made a mistake. I originally was influenced by all of the glowing reviews to go with them for some tax issues. After over a year of payments and nothing getting done, rude, lazy and unprofessional employees.

They took a stressful situation when I was sick and desperately need of help and made it worse. I believe deliberately to try and take advantage of me and the situation. Took many payments totalling several thousand dollars and basically gave me the run around for over a year.

He wanted to charge me $50,000 to do an Offer In Compromise with the IRS. You’re not reading that incorrectly, yes, 50K when the average rate nationwide is around 4-5 thousand. This is very common information all over the Internet while Taylor told me, “I don’t know where you looked but that’s not the case” LOL this guy is completely unscrupulous!

I don’t know where all the positive reviews came from but I find it very suspicious to say the least. So if you’re looking for a tax attorney you’re probably in many cases at least somewhat desperate. Then you read a bunch of reviews (like I did) and possibly fall into the hands and a greedy predator (like I did) who’s sizing up the situation isn’t in your best interest but theirs. So they can take the first look and figure out how to get the most possibly money out of you instead of promplty trying to take care of the situation for a fair and reasonable amount of money.

My experience with this place was pathetic, I feel like I’m going to throw up just typing this.

I had, and will still have great experiences with Randolph Law Firm. I owned a restaurant and I retained them about 5 years ago to ensure I did not go into any debt. They are not financial advisers but, they are tax experts. They handled my business tax returns, personal tax returns, payroll tax, sales tax, and income tax. Yes, it was a bit of proactive behavior on my part, but there is not another firm in town that I would trust as much and Randolph Law Firm when is comes to anything regarding returns and taxes. I sold the business this year, and they will definitely be handing my taxes in January 2020. There is no way I would do it myself, or consider another firm. I learned that Taylor has full time IRS enrolled agents in his office to handle tax returns, and they are so detailed, they don't miss anything. I was also audited, and they directed the auditor to their law firm so he was not disrupting myself, employees, or customers during the audit. They scrutinized every detail and I came out exactly even after Randolph Law Firm argued each discrepancy. I am at peace with no stress knowing they are on my side. I didnt even make it to the consultation. The woman in charge of making the calls is RUDE and clearly they dont read online inquiries. I specifically asked I dont be called right away because of my hours at work and I cant take personal calls. She calls anyway, shes vague, and then is anything BUT helpful. She had an attitude and I hung up on her. She promptly called back in which I told her she was rude and that I'd find someone else to go with. Sketchy as it comes. Went in for the consultation and was doped into giving him 2K for a bogus review when he told me approx. 22K would settle my problem. Waited an exceptional long time for follow up appt. and had to call him to get that. When I went back he then decided to inform us that 20K was to be his fee and he was going to have our IRS debt of well over 150K settled for just 1k....somewhere down the line within a few years...but he wanted his 20K fee forthwith. I really found it amazing he thought we were this stupid. So basically he wanted 20K to have his secretary transpose some information and to submit for an offer in compromise for our behalf...offering them a joke of 1K while his fee is 20K? Needless to say I am somewhat sceptical of the other reviews in here. I went there to get tax help and instead was faced with getting ripped off of my 2K initial fee as I agree to that on a completely false premise. He did not inform myself that my total cost was going to be over 20K for him and just 1K to settle with the IRS. Otherwise I never would have even paid that....and that charge is being disputed. The experience was no less than an insult.
