Shelbyville is a joke when it comes to an inmate having any legal rights. Being given a PD is just for show to make it appear they are on the up & up. You eill be lucky if you get 5 mins with your sppointed PD prior to standing before the judge. I spoke with a PD on an inmates case one tume before court and his sentencing. Told him I would testify. He told the inmate that I refused to testify in his behalf and told him to take the 4 yr plae. This young man was charged with a felony he did not deserve d/t inaccuracies in evidenct testimony. My testifying would have dropped tge felony charges to a misdameaner which would have been the correct charges but due to the ODs lies this young mans life was changed forever leaving tge chips stacked against him and made it imposdible for him to fibd employment. I even spoke up in court stating that I wanted to testify and I was shushed, made to keave the courtoom and tgen I was threatened with goubg to jail for wanting to testify the truth in a case. Absolutely, the whoke judicial system there is totally messed up and I have seen innocent peopke railroaded into jail time and even prison time due to the corruptness of tge system there. It is really sad to see this kibd if injustice in a United States legal system, but what is even worse is the fact that anybody who stands up to them or that they feel will bust their system wide open gets put on their radar and they will do anything to shut that person up even to a point of setting them up illegally and getting them sent away for a very long time. I cannot believe what they get away with in SHELBYVILLE, Bedford County, TN. And Marshall County TN is much better than Shelbyville. These little hole in the wall towns just continye to railroad people, not allow inmates any rights at all icluding the right of due process or adequate representation untouched by anyone. They just continue to go unchecked and it is a sad and disgusting situation in these United States and I am sure there are a whole lot more unjust judicial syatems in the Little Towns tgroughout this country. Thrse unjust systems need to be busted wide open and then sued to bring justice they have done wrong over many many years.
