Filing a complaint with a judge next! I owe NOTHING MORE. I owed a credit card and was unable to pay for an extended period of time. Once I was able to secure a loan for the amount owed, I contacted the credit card company to get the number where the payment should go. I was directed to a collections company who then directed me to Garner and Conner PLLC. I called FIVE times with no returned calls to pay in full at that time. MONTHS later I was served and ordered to court. By then I had to use the money for other things for my three children. The person representing the law firm "took a note" that no one had returned my calls and insisted that I sign up for auto-deduct with interest. All I could afford was $10 a month at the time. I did fall behind at one point and they seized my bank account and it was closed by the bank. I took out another loan to pay the rest and I did so on Jan 3, 2020, online AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY PREFER THAT RATHER THAN BY PHONE. I paid what said the total was: $856.79. That made a ZERO balance. I now have a bill in my hand, 10 days later, that says I now owe a balance of $23.09 that is incurring interest. WHAT?!! I have been through HELL with these people because they REFUSE to take a simple payment by phone in the first place!!! WHY? So they can delay the online payment and wait for another week's cycle of billing and interest so that you can NEVER, EVER really pay them off? THAT IS WRONG! I have paid for this MORE than I should have and I have DONE what I was supposed to do to make it right.

Caused us absolute more problems than we jad.

If I could rate in the negative, I would! I had a credit card go to this firm. I called and setup monthly payments with them and made three consecutive payments. On the third month, they took me to court anyways and a judgment was entered against me, when Amanda at the firm told me that since I'm in good standing, I won't need to go to court. The only way I knew of the judgment is when I went to buy lunch one day and my debit card was declined and my bank account was wiped out leaving me with $10 cash in my wallet and not even a penny in my account. It was more than a week later that I was able to reasonably talk to Shilanda to get things figured out. Everyone else, even the receptionist, talks with attitude and disrespect. This firm should be reported!

The office is either short handed, over worked or just plain incompetent. I am not sure! I would not do business with the debt collection or title agency. Total frustration!!

This is a follow up...The service just got worse, when I thought I was finished dealing with this firm. No I was not...I am a licensed TN Realtor, a Community Manager. I deal with attorneys almost daily. This is the worst attorneys office that I have dealt with by far. If I could give this firm a negative star review, I would. This firm lies, misleads clients, handles cases inappropriately. Please report this firm to the BBB if you have had a bad experience!!!

It took a long time to close and didn’t keep me adequately updated on the progress.

This company is so garbage. They cant get their heads on straight. No one there even wants to talk to you. No one is even there to help you. All they want is their money and they don't care about the people they are hurting. They are ruthless. I paid the company close to 3000 for something with an apt. They served me. I was making payments. then i missed a payment and next thing i know i got someone serving me papers. None of these papers or nor the court where I live told me about apparent interest that accrues. Well my judgement was sept 2018. I received wage garnishment papers that my court system messed up and put my home address instead of my work address so they couldn't serve me. So after waiting months to get my wage garnishments i finally got them and paid them in full immediately. But now that i've paid x amount of dollars I still owe them MORE money on top of what i already paid them from what the court told me. And because myt court system is flawed and their system is flawed they want to take more. And the money I owe is also gaining interest. They dont even wanna try to help after they already took so much. They would rather watch you burn in hell than try pouring water on you. Also whenever you call, seeing as they are an attorney practice, there is not a single attorney to talk to. You get receptionist or someone under the attorney no matter how you try to talk to one.

If you could give negative stars they would get -100.

15 USC 1692g section 808. These asshats agree on a monthly payment and then charge the payment twice in month due to system updates. They violated the court ordered payment plan and I get penalized for their incompetence. Bunch of crooks but I guess that's why no one likes lawyers. It's these old farts who give great attorneys bad names.

Pathetic company. Set up arrangements, never receive anything. Call multiple times with no answer or leave messages and nothing heard back. Then they send more legal action. Absolutely pathetic.

Do not deal with them... I made the mistake of dealing with them... it did not turn out good. They do not respond to calls and only care about taking your money.... once they have your money they could care less what happens.

these people are ridiculous examples of humans. they don't see people, just dollar signs. for the love of money is the root of all EVIL. i have paid $4,400 for a credit card i got a LONG time ago (15 years+) and they still want $1,200 on an original credit card debt of $1,500. Chase Manhattan Bank rip off artists gave me a credit card and kept increasing my limit every few months and then came back and said i didn't deserve the limit increases due to my credit which had already supposedly been used to approve me for the card. what a scam! these people at Garner and Conner represent Troy Capital, who bought a lot of bad debt from Chase. Garner and Conner don't see situations, just ways to get paid. i contacted Chase many times over this matter, but off course they don't care. it's all about robbing people, and these attorneys are just that, crooks!

They so long to respond to inquiries.

This law firm does not even deserve one star. They are rude,unprofessional. They don't return phone calls or keep up with correct paperwork. You can never speak with the attorney's only the assistant. Beware dealing with this firm.

They don't answer the phone and want gave you a call back to matter how many messages you leave for them.
