I came to Jed after some personal trouble left me in need of a lawyer. I had never sought legal advice or services before this and Jed was recommended to me through a close friend. Jed was very prompt in returning my call to set up an appointment and also explained the fees involved with my request. I was able to come into his office, talk to him about what I would be able to do with the requested documents and how they were intended to be used. He explained every aspect of it carefully and made sure that I understood what it all meant. With his help, I was able to take care of my mother and get done the things I needed to. Should I ever need legal services again in the future, he is the person I will call first.

Since I am unable to respond to the owners comments, I felt it necessary to provide more information in another review. Even during our initial encounter, I had misgivings using his services. As per his email, he “thanked me for giving him a second chance.” In his response to my original review, he does not deny keeping the remainder of my retainer.

If anyone has signed a contract, whether you’re buying a house, a new car, or for legal services, the “legalese” can be intimidating. You’re just hoping that the person who drafted the contract, also has your best interest at heart. That was clearly not the case in this instance. When I no longer needed his services, and asked for the remainder of my retainer, he promptly informed me that he was not going to give it back. Even though he did not earn the entire amount. As I stated in the first review, he essentially kept almost $1000 of my money he did nothing to earn. I did pay him over twice that amount for his services, so he did get paid.

Finally, I asked in person and in writing several times for a statement (which HIS contract) stated I was to receive. I NEVER did receive one statement from him. It took me contacting the senior partner at his firm before I finally received my first and only statement. The statement was sent from the senior partner who acknowledged that the billing statement was not received as promised and that the individual had not returned my phone call.

Jed has helped me with a number of issues, including contract reviews, evictions, and a personal injury consultation. I highly recommend him.

Jed is the 5th attorney I've had to hire in my lifetime. I've needed them for various reasons; business-related as well as personal. Now .. I hate having to hire an attorney. They've always been crooked and uncaring, concerned only with getting paid and not about the case itself. But when my landlord attempted to force me out of my business location in April 2018 with some really shady tactics, I needed one again.

Jed was different from any lawyer I'd hired before. He represented me in the case and the landlord eventually offered a settlement for me to relocate.
