When I first began this process, I was relatively clueless about the topic of divorce. I found Dustin McCrary through a google search on a Tuesday night and was in his office the following evening. He was able to alleviate my fears and answer all my questions while walking me through the process within the first few minutes of meeting. On several occasions I was able to get questions answered within seconds instead of waiting for a callback or needing to make an appointment, saving me money in the long run. I had my daughter in December on the 20th of 2017 and I was living with their father at that time (after I had been gone when our second child was born for about a year and a half, during which that time I offered him to come and see the boys whenever he wanted and just requested if he was high or drunk that he not drive with them, but he only ever asked to do things with me and ask that I have my mom watch our children) but trying to sum this up a little faster he called me one day saying he wanted to end his life I felt bad I answered he came to stay at my house I helped him through his suicidal thoughts and helped him detox from what he was on trying to fix him so he could be a better father to the boys. While he was in my house he didn’t even want to be around them.... I moved back in with him only temporarily to help him get his life back on track and I ended up going into labor early so I didn’t have time to move me and my boys back out, he refused to drive me to the hospital when I was in labor because 5am was to early for him to get up and my water had already broke and my daughter had trisomy 18 so it was a high risk pregnancy and I had to call my mom and get to the closest hospital I could. I didn’t have time to make it to the one I was set up to give birth at that could handle babies that needed more intenseive care than the local hospital I gave birth at and I didn’t have time to pack the kids up in labor and hold a towel between my legs to get in my moms car and get to the hospital so that’s the only reason he was alone with the children in the 1st place because I went into labor and he refused to take me to the hospital I had no choice but to leave them thinking I’d be able to come back and get them. He accused me of cheating while I was giving birth for not answering my phone while I was in labor (I had no epidural and no paid meds my phone was the least of my concerns and I’d only moved back in to help him get better for the boys) so I told him I was leaving and coming to get the boys as soon as I saw my daughter was stable at the hospital they transferred her to. When I said I’m coming back to get my boys and my stuff he changed the locks and refused me both. He told me I had to move back in with him and be with him if I wanted my kids and I was tired of the aduse and it wasn’t good for the children to see the way he treated and talked to me so after 2 months of him not letting me have them I had to get a lawyer to get them back. I tried getting one in time for my boys to be able to attend their sisters funeral (that they never even got to meet because of my ex’s spitefulness) and I couldn’t get a hearing in time so I had to explain to them they had a sister they never met and that she had passed and I’ve taken them to see their sisters doctor and to see her grave but it’ll never be the same as them meeting her, which isn’t this lawyers fault I paid for his help a few days before her funeral was set) but I told him all of this and much more and before our 1st court date I didn’t get to meet him in person I only got a 15 to 20 minute phone call a day or two before our court date with him summarizing how court would go that day and that I wouldn’t have much time at all to talk to the judge and on the actual court day he said my best bet would be to set something up with his lawyer to where we agreeded on something and just had a judge make it official. I didn’t get a say in anything other than that we do drop offs at the police station, he’s violated the order many times since and this lawyer wanted more money to go any further and I didn’t have it. I didn’t feel this concern for me or my children’s safety or wellbeing I’ve seen in other comments. I now have a new lawyer and have to go back to court with him a year and a half later and had no clue our temporary order was technically set to permanent after a year, he never mentioned that. Also I answered my interrogatories (not sure if that how you spell that) by myself.

I met Dustin and immediately knew that I needed him handling my legal matters. I was dealing with a painful divorce and custody situation and was not making any substantial progress in my case. Dustin took my call, set up an appointment with me, and explained everything that was happening how we would move forward. Never were there any misconceptions about what was taking place or what the result would be. Dustin did not make me any guarantees. However, his ability to be straightforward was much appreciated.

My particular situation involved many difficult roadblocks and Dustin managed them all with ease. I was able to call, text, email, and set up a meeting anytime I felt necessary. Even more surprising to me was when I had some urgent matters in the middle of the night, and Dustin responded almost immediately. (I emailed Dustin at 12:21 AM and got his response 12:24 AM. I hired Dustin McCrary after receiving a speeding ticket and he went above my expectations as far as handling my ticket and explaining what steps I needed to take to pay court costs. Then after it was all done, I received a "failure to appear" letter threatening to suspend my license. I contacted Dustin and he immediately took care of it at the courthouse, where they had printed the letter in error.
