To Anyone that is in need of caring, professional and knowledgeable attorneys for out of state custody orders where child is brought into SC by the defendant against a court order. Mr. Tucker and Mr. Martin are the attorneys for you. I am a maternal grandmother that had received temporary custody of my granddaughter due to factors that no child should be around. Unfortunately my granddaughter was taken by mother from a court ordered Supervised visitation in NC and went to SC. With cutting to chase. SC does not back other states custody orders. Even if there is more than reasonable cause to take child from abductor, you have to go and prove your case in SC family court. The problem with that is that it can take up to 20 days to be heard, and the child could be moved again. Which this was the 4th time this had happened. So after trying everything I personally could do on my own to get my granddaughter back I called around looking for an attorney. I had talked to several before reaching Mr. Tucker's office and no one could see me that day except them. I went to consultation scared that they would not understand the urgency of getting my granddaughter back and figured they would up the fees because they saw me so quickly. But it wasn't at all like that. They where very professional, listened to me and put my granddaughter in high priority. And they where very fair with their fee. Mr. Tucker brought in Mr. David Martin to assist and I can't say enough good things about him. He worked diligently on case to prepare to go to a judge in morning to present the facts of why SC should support NC court ruling. He and Mr. Tucker also made sure that they didn't miss anything through my NC attorney to make sure that nothing was missed. The next morning I meet with them they went over everything and made sure I felt it was right then went to see a judge. Within an hour I got word that the judge agreed and we where going to get my granddaughter. But this is where I feel they went above and beyond. Mr. Martin stayed with me until we got her back and even drove me to where we picked her up at. I also received a call from Mr. Tucker checking on us later that evening. Also letting me know that they will be there for any future issues. They truly are caring professionals. And highly recommend their services.
