I guess it was just what you expect from a lawyer office. Was not for lawyers you would not need a lawyer.

This law firm is not one I would recommend. You need to check all your numbers, careless mistakes and when we caught the mistakes no apology or explanation. They did not refund our HOA in our closing amount and when we called they said they would send a hard copy of the closing papers and the money they owed, a week later nothing. We had to go pick it up ourselves. Careless and unprofessional. Beware!!

Extremely professional team in house closing.

Worst service I have ever had. We were supposed to close on our house sale on Mon am. I faxed paperwork to them the prior Wed am. We got there and they had the wrong sale price. Our realtor handed them a PAPER copy with new price. Over the next hour and a half they kept coming back without the paperwork we needed to sign. I finally called my mortgage company for the information. After that the attorney came back with paper to sign that STILL had the wrong sale price listed on it. The assistant I was working with in Columbia called and talked around the problem, never admitted about her being at fault not following up on my fax. It took UNTIL 4:30 TUEDSAY PM before we got correct paperwork to complete.
I would NEVER recommend them for house selling or buying. Sue Miranda MD

I didn't deal with them too much when closing on my new house. I showed up to my 12PM appointment time early. The lobby is very clean and the desk staff wad very friendly. She offered my husband and I water and muffins/snacks. There was a couple also closing on a home that had an appointment before us. There was some botch with their appointment and they were obviously very worried about it. This put my husband and I on edge as we were patiently waiting for our appointment and hoping for no mishaps. We were taken back on time and then somebody finally joined us in the the room about 10 minutes later. The man that handled our closing was very informative and went over every piece of paper (there were a lot) of the contract and explained what I was signing/agreeing to. What should have been a fairly quick event turned into almost 2 hours of waiting at the office. My husband ended up having to call out of work because there procedure was taking too long. After we signed everything they had clerical errors on their part that they had to fix. We sat in the office with our lender for nearly an hour while they did whatever fixes they needed that didn't involve us. Once somebody popped back in and then it turned into a ghost town. The job got done and that's all that really matters. But the time frame really messed up our move in day. My suggestion would be to take the day off in case something like this happens.

Really simple and excellent service. The response was quick always. They matched the price I requested them without a question. Photo booth is a great addition and we liked it.

I have done 3 closings with Nelson & Galbreath. While I may use them again due to the convenience, there were numerous mistakes with every closing and they lost the initial documentation I sent them which nearly voided our contract. Had it not been for my own diligence and follow-ups, I don't believe the closings would have gone well. In the end, the attorneys were very friendly as well as the staff, but their attention to the details could be improved.

We sold our house for sell by owner. We did get it listed in MLS with Isavereality a flat rate company thy does nothing but list your home. We sold it quickly and went to closing. My husband went to sign the papers and realized that they put that I save reality would be getting $3500 dollars and luckily my husband caught it well they went out and fixed it and can back didn't say sorry or try to explain what happened. Let me tell you that I talked to the assistant about 5x prior to the signing about HOA's and other things so they knew I didn't have a realtor and it said it on the mls listing that buyers agent received 0% and it was on other paperwork that they received. Well the next day I emailed her and asked for a copy of the HUB settlement papers. When I got them it said that I save reality was to be our $399! I have no clue where they got that number and my husband made it clear that we had already paid them. So I asked her about it and said I want my money. We she then said well I never got a hold of isave reality to know forsure so they just assumed that we were suppose to pay them! Well I contacted her pretty much saying we were going to have to get a lawyer or something was gonna have to be done if they do not fix this. I got an email back from the closing attorney saying he was gonna fix it and to send over some paperwork saying we already paid Isave. So I did and he said okay I'll get back to you. So a week later I still hadn't heard anything so I emailed him and he said he sent the request for a check to finacial and should get it back in a few days well I waited another week still nothing emailed them both and nothing then a week later emailed again and he said he was on vacation and that he said a check to me and that I should receive it in a few days. Well I have no clue where(if) he sent to, because he never asked me for my address and he didn't know where we live now. Needless to say I've emailed called multiple time and still have yet to receive my $400 back! So I'm here to warn you to watch out for these people! Obviously someone pocketed our money just thankful it wasn't the $3500 that they tried to get before that! If your selling your house by owner watch out and pay very close attention!

Update: finally got our money back. They apologized and wired it to us!

The service at this Law firm is excellent. I have been a client as a buyer and a seller. They made the process smooth and easy on both sides. Their communication makes a stressful process easier.
