Worst representation I ever experienced. It is going on two years and I am still NOT over it. He works with other attorneys against you. How are you going to ask your client what questions to ask during trial when that is what you were paid to do as an attorney. Would not look into things I asked but looked for my personal information to give to the opponents attorney.

Not sure what I regret more, attempting to use Mr. Spaugh or waiting too long to warn the public about him. He was referred by two family friends & truly wish we would've done more research on him. Sincerely feel as if he took our money, ran & took advantage of being our 1st lawyer. The lack of communication was horrific, His unprofessionalism in attempting to "represent" us in court was beyond embarrassing. This man was my brother's lawyer for a child custody suit in which my brother should have easily won. My brother cooked all the meals for the family, did the laundry, helped his son with his homework and played with him, in addition to being a farmer. His wife sat around all day watching TV or going shopping so that she could spend all of his money claiming she couldn't do housework because of health issues . My brother had names of two witness he provided to the lawyer that the lawyer never subpoenaed. When my brother ask him about it, he just said they didn't respond. After researching he found that they were never subpoenaed. Robert Spaugh was so ill prepared for the case and my brother lost custody of his only child.
