Coltrane prides himself on getting cases mediated. If you are looking for a quick, in front of the judge attorney, he is not your guy. His office repeatedly offered to handle the other attorney's court date changes and billed me for it. I will never recommend this firm.

Had a great experience with John Overfield. The closing process on our new home was a breeze and was very well presented to us. Only lasted about 20 minutes!
This law firm handled the legal documents for a real estate transaction. I often had to follow up myself on things that were supposed to happen. I found the communication from the law firm to be minimal.
I had asked the law firm to order a survey of the property, which is one of their responsibilities. And ONE MONTH later, it still had not been done. I wrote to inquire about the survey and I received a very condescending email from John Overfield that began with "Bless your heart!" and he explained to me all the things that his law firm does NOT do in this type of real estate transaction. All of this I already understood. Would a man ever begin an email with "Bless your heart!" to a man??? He did not admit to fault for never ordering the survey and finally ordered one, as he should have a month before.
As far as the actual day of closing, the lawyer that handled this was prepared, professional, and helpful and conducted himself as a lawyer should. During the closing, I asked this lawyer specifically if the law firm is responsible for ordering a survey and he confirmed that that was true.
I would not use this law firm again though the lawyer at closing was very competent. Up until the actual day of closing, the experience was frustrating and I did not appreciate the sexist manner in which John Overfield "mansplained" things to me.

If you want to hire an underhanded attorney with little moral and who has no problem commiting perjury, Charles Coltrane is the man to hire. He was sucessful on helping my morally bankrupt brother and sister in law continue their campaign to alienate my daughter from both me and her father. This man truly has low morals out of all the lawyers in Guilford county
