We were creating an LLC, and got a very helpful free initial consultation with tons of good advice (we're a small business). No pressure to do anything, and we got very up-front info on what costs would be (they are fixed for an LLC, which was great).

What put me over the top for writing a review was that filing for our LLC with NC would have happened ideally right before everyone goes on Christmas break, but our contact Kathy got back to us quickly, filed everything so fast that it was actually confirmed by the state on the same day, so that we had a ton of time to get to work with our new LLC.

One note was that we considered doing an online LLC, but with the rush, and it being our first time, decided to use a local pro. Happy to say that one of the things that would have been costly add-ons with the online places, was free with WL, so that made the apparent online savings not really as big as we thought. Plus Kathy suggested some things that gave us more privacy (vs reviews I've read about the LLC online setup I was considering, selling our info).

Things we liked about Walker Lambe:
— Found them through the Durham Chamber (we're members and like to find things that way)
— They weren't intimidating to talk to, with us being new to using a lawyer
— Really useful free initial consult
— Quick responses and work that saved us a ton of time
— LLC cost matched others we have seen, and some add-ons were free

On the recommendation of a lawyer friend, we went to a Walker Lambe dinner presentation describing their services and method of approaching estate planning. We were impressed, and having lived through two years of my mother's estate in probate, knew what the attorneys suggested was the path we wanted to take.

We met with an attorney who set up not just our estate, but also a revocable trust and the medical and legal paperwork recognized in the state of North Carolina, as we recently moved here.

Losing a family member in my opinion is one of the hardest things life can deal. In my Grandmothers efforts to minimize her families pain before her Alzheimer's took over she wanted to seek the services of this attorney , in ironing out her death wishes, including the reading and execution of her will and trust. Moving on to the day my mother went with her to Kelly"s office, of course in complete sadness with a readiness to make sure her wishes with this chapter which would allow us to grieve and not worry later. We sat patiently waiting for Kelly As she took my grandmother into another room with her paralegal to hear my grandmothers last wishes. When needed this attorney conveniently forgot what my grandmothers wishes were. This senseless act was unprofessional at the least and warranted a complete suspension of trust. The excuse given for the no call no show was she “forgot”. She never fully executing the wishes of my Grandmother. Needless to say.

Peace of Mind - Fabulous From the 1st encounter we were treated with dignity & respect. All of the staff gave wonderful, expert & personal customer/client service. We were able to set up Estate Planning so we have peace of mind. After a non binding meeting we decided to proceed. Now we can rest assured that our wishes will be followed.
