I cannot emphasize how kind and caring Hayes Mann is as an attorney. It was so refreshing to talk to someone and feel like they truly care and you aren't just someone else writing a check. Lupe his legal assistant keeps let's you know about the outcome of your court date either the same day or the next which in my opinion was truly impressive I never had a legal assistant go the extra mile. His prices are very competitive from everyone else in town, but his customer service is what sets him apart.

I had the extreme misfortune of having Hayes appointed as my public defender.

He routinely (in phone calls I recorded) called me an idiot or otherwise demeaned me, he made it out that the charges against me (which were all dropped) were indefensible and when I called him on these two things
and asked him to do his job.

Hayes petitioned the court to drop me as an attorney. But he didn't just stop there he attempted to sneak a restraining order onto his petition to drop me, because I told him I would review him, and did so. I think the fact that he was trying to slip this by the court is evidenced by the fact that he put it on the third page of what he titled- Notice of Hearing when he sent me it and that is also how he gave it to the court.

I had to attend court the day he did this and I told him before we went before the judge that restraining orders cannot just be placed onto random petitions in criminal court and he told me that the state bar told him that was not the case and had told him to do so, so that is what he was going to do. I told him that the judge would not grant him it.

Needless to say the judge did not grant him the restraining order. I still have a copy of it, and have included it below of particular note is the circled section which outlines that what I have said above is true.

Hayes in my opinion essentially attempted to use a restraining order (in a manner inconsistent with how one would file a restraining order) to silence me so that I could not warn others about his conduct.

The judge allowed Hayes to withdraw and I was given another lawyer. I was charged in this case with 3 misdemeanors which were dropped in favor of two felonies which were also dropped I mention this as in the felony indictment packet, they cited what Hayes had done and acted as if I had actually done something to cause him to attempt to file a restraining order against me. Which was not the case.

So to summarize Hayes' attempt to file a restraining order against me to keep me from reviewing him was later used to help justify felony charges being brought against me.

I cannot in this space show just how corrupt the legal system in Brunswick county is, but make no mistake Hayes is one of the cogs that keeps it turning.

I a mentally disabled and understood the proceedings for a restraining order better than hayes and I successfully defended against charges he had acted like there was no defense to, please consider those two facts before engaging him for any legal matter.

I will remind Hayes (as I am sure he will read this) I retain copies of those phone calls and if I am in any way legal or otherwise harassed by you or the brunswick county court system for this review I will put those phone calls on youtube under your firms name and they will be the first thing that comes up on google when you are google searched.

What is there really to say? That he works and gets the job done? Yeah, he certainly does. That he charges you for the services that are outlined at the fair price? Yeah, he does that too. What about the coffee served while you wait? Well, I don't know about the coffee they serve in house, but the coffee I drank during my brief five minute phone call was spectacular.

What does this mean exactly? It means that Hayes Mann, Attorney at Law can solve your problems in less time than a disappointing partner in the comfort of your own home! Guadalupe took my information quickly, assigned me a number to text my documents to and that was it. No appointments, no hassle, all charisma and class. Badda boom, badda bing, problem solved.... Mind you I did take down the wrong number and sent my documents to a very confused person who proceeded to wish me luck in my case. Everything was finished in a span of 15 minutes and I never had to worry about it again. My appearance in court was taken care of early and it all came down to improper equipment.

Without Hayes Mann, I do not know where I would be in life. Probably under an overpass collecting used syringes and selling them for a quick buck, or maybe in the same place with a few points on my license and an increase in insurance - who would really know?
