On Oct.10, 2019, late in the afternoon, I was traveling by myself from Raleigh, NC to Edenton, NC going to my SisterInLaw's Wake. A trooper pulled me over in my native county (Bertie.) I was already nervous & became more nervous. I hadn't received a traffic violation in over 10 years. I had to appear in court on Dec.19, 2019. Bad news on top of bad news. My father died on Dec.19, 1994 in Bertie County. A date I'll never forget. I knew although it was mandatory that I appear in court, I couldn't go back to Bertie on Dec. 19, 2019. My goodness, that date would be 25th year date that my father passed away. All of this was running through my mind. Plus I wanted to go & support my nieces & nephews at their mom's wake, approximately forty five minutes after getting pulled over. After speaking with Ms. Rooks & the attorney & receiving the self explanatory email, my mind was put to ease. After making my 1st payment things fell into place. I received an
email, shortly after I sent my 2nd payment, stating that everything was cleared on my driver's record. I hope I'll never need their services again. But just in case I do, I know that they are only a phone call & an email away. I highly recommend them for traffic violations.

This was an easy 5-stars. I was going down to the Outer Banks for vacation In early September and didn’t realize that the speed limit changed due to all the traffic and great visuals on the ride. BLUF: Hire Dixon and Thompson if you get a speeding ticket and you are out of state.

I don't leave many reviews, but I feel compelled to give Dixon and Thompson one. I got a speeding ticket in Tyrell County NC, but I live in Boston, MA. The district court was mandating that I show up to my court date and pay the fine, and that may or may not have wound up effecting my insurance rate.

After doing some research I gave Dixon and Thompson a call. They explained everything thoroughly, and walked me through every step of the process. They kept me updated, and were definitely pros at dealing with the court system. The fine was paid and did not effect my insurance, I did not need to fly down there, and I thought their rate was very reasonable.

I was very impressed with this company as they were consistently able to clearly communicate back and forth between all parties. Not to mention my case was eventually dismissed! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a legal work.

Mr Dixon and his staff are beyond outstanding. I hate that I had to use them but Praise the Lord, they got me through it and even afterwards.

I was involved in an accident and was told the charges would be dropped if I got a letter from my insurance co saying they would pay for damages. The letter was delayed for months because the lady who hit me filed with her insurance instead of mine. After months of continuances the charges were dropped and I never had to appear in court or pay any more than my initial fee. DIXON & THOMPSON handled it all.

I recieved a ticket for an accident I was involved in while on vacation in the OBX. I live in the DC area and a not local. I was within a week to the deadline to mail in the payment for the fine when i decided to call one of the attorney's which I recieved a snail mail solicitation. I'm saying all this because I should have made the call to this firm much earlier and not fester in my frustration over the incident. Mr. Dixon said he could most likely get the violation dismissed. I emailed the paralegal the information she needed and paid the fee over the phone (which was just less than half the combined fine and court cost of the violation). I figured for this cost a chance to throw out the ticket was worth it since i believe i was not the sole cause of the accident. As a heads up this process took a few calls as i had to wait for a call back to talk with Mr Dixon about details of the accident. Once done, i waited for them to follow up with me. I provided additional information just once while the case was in continuance. I recieved the email today that the case was dismissed. This is a lengthy post because being from out of town I had no clue who I could depend on to handle the case. Therefore I am sharing my experience so you can make your decision. I paid a flat fee and stayed in touch with the paralegals and Mr Dixon for a couple of updates. Today, with no additional fees, i received the email the case is closed. I recommend this firm for traffic violations.

From start to finish, Dixon & Thompson Law, PLLC has been nothing but wonderful, efficient, and confident with my speeding ticket received in Gates County, NC. I knew I was wrong going 75 in a 55 mph zone so receiving that ticket was expected but like some people, I freaked out and cried for 3 days. Immediately after receiving the ticket, I called the closet lawyer and it happened to be Dixon & Thompson Law, PLLC. Their process is quite simple and after speaking to Retha, she made me feel confident that Mr. Dixon could get the ticket reduced to a city code violation (which did happen!!!). All I had to was email the ticket, my driver's license, answer a few questions, sign a waiver to not appear in court, and pay an upfront cost which covered the lawyer fee and the court fine costs. My court date wasn't until October and I suffer from really bad anxiety so imagine thinking about nothing all day expect possibly getting convicted of that speeding ticket. I stressed to the max. I received my ticket July 29th, received an email August 9th saying my ticket has been reduced and August 16th, my case was officially closed with the court fines paid.
