I didn't want to let the settlement moment pass entirely without expressing again my profound gratitude at how things worked out. It's hard to believe it's only been a week since I sat in the conference room with you Jim, while you very graciously transacted the all-important final details.

I'm glad I waited to write this because this ensuing week has felt transformative - a long and welcome exhalation followed by the first breath of what I expect will be a newly purposeful (and also, thanks to your great work, a much better accessorized) next phase of my life.

Your fellows and your team at GJEL were exceptional at every stage of the proceedings from my initial phone call from the Intensive Care ward to the moment when the defendant's insurance company offered the full extent of its coverage without ever even getting close to going to trial. I'd be at a loss to say how you could have been more effective or user friendly.

I only have two regrets from the process. First that I was so taken over by the moment in my encounter with Jim, that I forgot to ask you to explain how exactly you folks accomplished the singular feat of getting Geico to fold their hand and toss in all their cards so summarily. Second, Andy that I never got a chance to see you, particularly to thank you in person and express my warm appreciation. Maybe we can remedy that in the future.

Their Halloween cab ride reimbursement program was very generous. I left my car in San Francisco and took an Uber home to Oakland on Halloween night and they reimbursed the fare. Fantastic!
