If I were to tell my whole story it would be 1,000 words or more lol. So I will keep it simple and sweet. I was stupid, trusted the insurance company, they strung me along for almost 3 years, when it came time to settle my claim they totally turned on me and offered me an insulting low amount of money. I call and spoke with Ryan and he brought me in set my expectations and delivered big time. I highly recommend him.

My case was denied because I did not repot it in time. I tried to handle things on my own but once my case was denied I realized my only chance was calling a lawyer. I spoke with a lawyer immediately, in fact he answered the phone. I explained to him my situation, he explained to me that he could not guarantee that my case would be accepted by he would try his best. Thankfully my case was accepted and I got the medical help I needed for my injury. I would highly recommend these guys if you are looking for someone very aggressive and honest.

I totally endorse Ryan and his skills to get a work comp case settled in a timely manner for the proper value. I came to him at the very end of my case. I handled everything right up to the end. The insurance company made me an offer, didn't seem fair at all so I called around looking for someone to represent me. I chose Ryan because he was confident he would be able to recover much more than the insurance company offered me and told me if he did not get me more money plus his fee, he would do my case for free. I was referred to the workers compensation attorney group by a friend who does employment law. She went to law school with one of the lawyers and I hired him on the spot. Since this was my first and hopefully last work injury I do not have much to compare it to. I can say this. Your lawyer is as much of a victim to the crooked system as you are. So expect things to move slow, painfully slow at times. Be patient and do not try this on your own, I can only imagine how awful this experience would have been without an aggressive lawyer.

After dealing with a moron lawyer for nearly two years and getting the run around I decided to take my case elsewhere. I called around shopping for a new lawyer. A couple different places I called were not rude, but very dismissive and said my case was not valuable enough to take over because they had to split fees with my old lawyer. When I called the workers compensation attorney group they took my case right away and when I asked my lawyer why he would take my case and why the others would not he said to me that he is here to help people, that is what he does. I was pretty shocked to hear that come out of his mouth. Good people deserve to be recognized and that is why I am writing this review. If this man took my case nobody wanted, I can take 5 minutes out of my day to thank him in a review.

My experience with this organization was 5 stars no doubt. I actually dealt with my lawyer more than his assistant and felt very confident and comfortable the entire process. I am glad I took the time to speak with a handful of lawyers before I made my decision. I checked Yelp and Google reviews and believe I made the best decision for me.

I called Ryan because I was dealing with a lawyer who did not seem to be listening to me and quite frankly I totally lost confidence in. Reading his Yelp and Google reviews is why I called and he did not disappoint. I spoke to him directly the first time I called and spoke to him every call from that day on. With my previous lawyer I went with a big firm and met my lawyer once. I highly recommend Ryan and his personal service and touch in dealing with your case. He is a gem.

I wish I could write this review from a similar standpoint of the positive experiences/reviews before me, but after three weeks of reaching out to Ryan, I spoke with him twice. The first few times I called, I left a voicemail and received no call back. Finally, after a week or so, Ryan answered and let me know that he would call me back at a later time because he was heading into court. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but after another week of not hearing back, I called again. With success that time around, I spoke with him for about five minutes and got to explain my case. He said that he would forward my information to his assistant who would send me the paperwork to fill out so I can be officially represented, but again, no contact. Since that experience (1 month ago), I have not heard from him or anyone at the office, and have decided to go with a different firm.

This was my first time trying to contact a firm for any assistance and I regret to say that it was definitely a discouraging experience.

An update with regard to my initial review:

The firm has stated that they have no record of me calling in. Perhaps I’ll look up my call records from my phone bill for proof since no one at the firm wants to take accountability for the lack of communication. I’d be happy to post a photo of them on here.

Anyways, how rude of you to say I’m mixed up with another firm. The fact of the matter was that I called and was told by Ryan himself that he’d (1) call me back for more information and (2) he’d relay a message to someone in the firm to give me a call for intake. Neither happened, and after a few more attempts of calling myself, still failed to receive any response.

Thank you for confirming my initial 1 star review by not taking accountability, and instead, reflecting the blame.

Ryan was a prince to deal with. The work comp system is the frog. Very frustrating and annoying to say the least. My journey to Ryan was paved with lies and disappointments. I finally picked up the phone and called Ryan based on Yelp reviews and Google reviews. He was kind, very much a listener and I decided to retain him. If you are looking for the best workers compensation lawyer in Oakland, call Ryan. You will be happy you did.

When I called Ryan picked up immediately which was impressive to me. I had called a few other workers comp lawyers in Oakland before I called Ryan. He was very kind and willing to listen to my issues. After about 40 minutes on the phone with him I was relieved for a few reasons, the biggest reason was I felt I had found someone to help fight for my benefits and get me off work so I could heal. Ryan has always been available to talk to me about my case, he sets realistic expectations that the system is slow, so do not be alarmed if things move slowly, and they do, workers comp is a mess. This review is the least I could do to help a man who is doing so much to help me get what I deserve from the system.

Two failed surgeries later I was finally smart enough to hire my lawyer. I am so frustrated I trusted the insurance company to look out for my health. I am a young girl, slipped and feel and ruptured my ACL. I hope this injury does not hurt my leg in the long run.

After dealing with my adjuster for 6 painful months I got fed up and hired a lawyer. I have been very happy with my service and representation so far. If you are looking for a lawyer who is honest, upfront and returns calls same day, this is the group for you.

My experience with Ryan has been terrific and I am so happy I found him through this website. Always there to take my calls, always has an answer to where my case stands and is always polite and never the slightest bit frustrated even when I know I am being a bit frantic. Everything I was promised was delivered. I was very happy and surprised to be honest at how smooth the process went. As far as the insurance company, not smooth at all, they fought us every inch of the way to screw me out of what I was owed. Very, very aggressive and friendly. Just the type of people I was looking to work with. I am a federal employee and the people at the workers comp group could not help me but they did refer me to a lawyer out of los angeles who could help me with my federal case. I spoke to probably 5 law firms before I called the work comp attorney group and someone actually helped me, for that, I am leaving this review so people know that kindness is rewarded in life.

I fired my first lawyer to sign up with the lawyer through this group. Such a terrible experience with my first lawyer. I had a failed surgery, he was doing nothing to help me with my pain. He would tell me he was doing things as fast as he could, and maybe he was, but it wasn't fast enough. I know I am hard to deal with at times, but this was my health so I was scared and upset.
