Useless apparently because I got there for my appointment and he had a receptionist inform me he couldn't help me after I made the trip with an appointment, if this is the right attorney. If not, he left no impression on me and I am very observant. So, either way, I was unimpressed!

A good lawyer team

I had Mr. Nicholas Schaefer, I was very impressed by his intelligence and wite as far as saving me money. But as far as his approach with his clients and the law he flip flops what he says to much. He will say one day he's got this in the bag and then it could be within the same hour that he doesn't. I paid him $3000 in cash for two cases that I was innocent, but he doesn't seem like the type of laywers who wants to go to court he will always push for a plea. The second case that ended today he was trying to push it back even though I followed the court order (which if I obliged it would be dismissed).He was pretty much telling me what he was going to do, not what his paying client needed and deserved. It's pretty bad when the opposing side agreed with me and it was dismissed. He doesn't do his own research for the actual case I did 90% of it. I got him cause he was supposably a good aggressive lawyer but in reality he is a push over. I won't be using his services in the future. I'll pay my $5000 deposit for future cases to someone else for 2020.

Mr. Gilly did in one day what I had tried for 10 years to get other lawyers to do.

Steven Gilley is a useless attorney that will just take your money. He is retiring and doesn't care about his clients. On my consultation I asked him about claiming my kids on taxes. He told me I couldn't claim my kids because of Trump's new tax laws. I had to contact several accountants which told me I most definitely could claim them. I had to give him the information and he said you can't claim earned income which is totally different than taxes. The case was already filled in court in Virginia which I had to go fill out the paperwork at the court clerks office, he couldn't even file the case. Since the case was filed before i found out the tax the judge couldn't hear it. I had to write up a parenting plan as to what I wanted because he wouldn't do that either and was angry with me at court over it. The case was continued and when it was heard he allowed my x wife's attorney and her to make me look like a bad father no objection from him guess it was to much for him to stand up and speak to the judge. I have always gotten my children for five weeks during the summer and he allowed the other attorney and the GAL to reduce it to four weeks. There was absolutely no grounds to reduce what visitation I already have with my children. I paid this so called attorney $1000 dollars, did most of the work for him and he flat out screws me in the court room. He went outside with the GAL and the other attorney and had a discussion most likely made a deal before court. I have 22 years of experience in law enforcement and I know how the court works and what attorneys do. I wouldn't recommend this so called attorney to my worst enemy. I've seen public defenders do a much more professional job than Steven Gilley did. He talks a big game and when it comes down to the court room he falls flat on his face. What a joke and a waste of time. You need to go ahead and retire today before you destroy someone else's life with their children. You are a disgrace to your profession.

Mr. Cook is an outstanding attorney! He handled our custody case and we are very pleased with the results. Mr. Cook is very knowledgeable and was always there to answer any questions we had along the way. We have had different attorneys in the past and none of them can even compare to Mr. Cook. We have already recommend him to numerous people and will continue to do so.

James R. Cook in particular is and outstanding attorney. He fights hard through the whole case. I had been dealing with a case involving my son for about 8 years. This year I found this attorney and it has made a dramatic difference. I believe that he deserves more credit. He works tirelessly and is very knowledgeable and thorough. I am unable to comment on the other attorneys associated but everyone here had been an asset. From the office workers to my attorney I am very thankful to have found them.

Went there for an initial consultation with my dad and received great advice. Mr. Gilley would not accept any payment for the consultation. I would definitely go back to him legal issues in the future
