She is the absolute poorest excuse for a lawyer that I have ever met. I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemies. I hired her in 6 years ago to represent me in my divorce; my ex husband cheated, I caught him with the woman and Ms. Ayers dismisses my findings. We redlined the separation papers that my ex husbands lawyer sent to her and she never returned them to my exes lawyer to revise. When my ex husbands lawyer didn’t receive a response he sent the papers back to Caroline and she told me that they were ready and to stop by to pick them up. I took them to a notary to sign but never read them because Caroline told me they had been updated. When I realized that I had signed the original and not the revised version of the papers I fell apart. I had to hire another lawyer at $350 an hour, go to court and tell the judge that i was so distraught that i hadn’t read what was supposed to be the revised copy of my papers because I trusted my lawyer. I ended up with more out of my divorce because of the efforts of my new lawyer but it also cost me another $8,000.

She is absolutely amazing! She’s very nice and very organized and she knows what she is doing! I’m very thankful we chose her! Definitely would recommend using her!!!!! Thank you Caroline Ayres!
Blc Sons review is misplaced. I just got off the phone with Caroline on a free consultation. I am now scheduled for a review and analysis of my case and yes, a small hourly rate for her time. I am driving in from Richmond (120 miles) because Caroline Ayres is an aggressive lawyer who will put forth all of her efforts to litigate my case. Why people have an expectation of WIN WIN simply because they hire a private lawyer is beyond me. Any lawyer (court appointed/Pro Bono or private) we would hope, will advance the clients interests to the best of his/her ability. They are an advocate. There are also human, mind you...it is not a perfect world. In life we seem to shift blame really quickly and not take responsibility or accountability for our actions or inactions. Bottom line, investigate the lawyer before you hire, consult with them prior to a retainer, and if you feel comfortable that you want that particular lawyer then hire them. If not, check around and/or call your local Bar Association for a referral.
