I hired this law firm 3 years ago after an auto accident in which I wasn’t at fault. After about a year the other guy’s insurance offered me a settlement, the woman who I was speaking with said she felt like I could get much more than what there were offering since I had physical injuries, however it may take another year. So I decided not to settle. Here we are TWO years after that, my case has been transferred to another lawyer in the office (which I had to find out on my own by asking for an update), & I’ve emailed about 3 paralegals from their office this year alone trying to get an update on the court date they’re trying to schedule. The last time I emailed them I got no response. So I called, my lawyer ‘wasn’t available’. Receptionist or whoever took my call said he would call me. Either he never did or he promptly hung up as soon as the call went through. At this point I’m considering finding another law firm if even possible, because I’ve now learned about a statue of limitations that states you have 2 years to take legal action. So hopefully this office will get it together, or I’ll have to find another lawyer.
