I was referred here by a friend and was hopeful with all the reviews, however I was brushed off. I was able to find another attorney whom I've hired. I just inquired and asked a question to Haven via email. I received an vm today stating they would not be able to assist me at all. Never had a chance to schedule a meeting or anything. The attorney I met with today I was able to schedule a meeting face to face and everything went smoothly. Not sure what the issue is because the laws didnt change overnight Its unfortunate that I went through this especially with a referral, however am glad I was able to take care of my concerns with another law firm.

I have nothing but good things to say about The Haven Law Group, (THLG) That's why I gave a 5 star from start to delivery. The Entire office team are Professional and Friendly. I started my bankruptcy back in April, 2018. The process was not stressful, had a minor hiccup moving from MD to VA (MD car title is different from VA) My Attorney Michael Burno took care of everything. What made me chose THLG : 1 The price, after weeks of researching, there price is reasonable and the fact they are partnered with 7 steps to 720 credit score (which is part of the bankruptcy program) That played a Huge part in my decision making, in choosing the THLG. The cost of Bankruptcy is already pricey , paying a hefty /slim price (depending on your circumstance) to file bankruptcy vs paying $ more or less ( again depending on your case) to file and getting enrolled in a program that is guaranteed to re- build your credit score to 720. In fact, I have not found any bankruptcy law firms, that offer the 720 program not even in Maryland, DC and Virginia areas.
I spent most of my time communicating with Gloria, due to the paper work. She is very proactive . I have nothing but good things to say about Gloria, she was very helpful and understanding. She got right back to me with the answer to my questions (24 hours). If you are looking for a professional bankruptcy firm ,The Haven Law Group would be your best choice.

This firm handled our case in 2014, and when we needed some documents for a home loan. I called the office and was prepared to hear excuses of why it would take so long to find the documents or be rerouted to the courthouse. Well, to my pleasant surprise, Darlene answered the phone. Let me tell you what a blessing she was to us. I explained to her what the loan officer was requesting and she pleasantly said, I will email that right over to you. Seriously, I am not kidding, I was in shock, could this be real?! Then after I forwarded this to the loan officer, they needed another document, I emailed Darlene again, and yes, just as friendly and helpful as ever. Found the document needed and emailed it to me and apologized for the delay...Delay... what delay, she was so quick and efficient in making sure that we had what we needed. Even ended each conversation with have a nice day. It is rare these days to come across someone so eager and willing to help you and without an attitude or excuse of why they can't. If you are in need of services available at this firm. Let me assure you that even after they file your case they remain available to you years later. I would have thought after 5 years, we were just a file folder sitting in storage to never be remembered again. Not our experience at all! Upon completion of my meeting with the Trustee there was unresolved matter involving the selling of my home. I am delighted to report that the matter has been settled and I will be able to retain ownership of my home. Thanks again to Attorneys Havener and Bruno for a job well done.

I began my bankruptcy case in October 2019. From the very beginning both Attorney Charles Havener and Attorney Michael Bruno were readily accessible, always on hand to address any concern I may have had. They were timely and efficient. Legal assistant Gloria also stayed on top of things. My bankruptcy case has been completed and a huge burden has been lifted. There is still an unresolved issue concerning my home, but I am confident that Attorneys Havener and Bruno will ensure that a fair and amicable resolution will be made when the time comes. At first I was iffy about filing a bankruptcy. Mr. Havener sat down with me and talked and gave me my options and explained the process. I had questions he answered and he never beat around the bush, he was always straight forward with me. I will definitely refer anyone looking for help here.

At the end of the bankruptcy a credit rebuilding program is offered...... its sounds good and I believe it has the potential to be helpful but for me it is not. I cannot get past the second step. So it seems I will have to rebuild my credit on my own.

We just finished our 5 year Chapter 13 plan and we are now on our way to new financial freedoms.
