I was a first time Landlord beginning in March of 2014. I executed a lease agreement and did Property Management oversight for a tenant that moved into my home at that time. As a first time landlord and property manager I did not necessarily document as well as I should have on the initial walk thru during move in or move out. In the midst of itemizing damages I received a judgment in the mail from the tenant. The tenant was suing ME for failure to return her security deposit.
