FACTS!
After investing 7k, I could no longer afford to keep paying. This was the primary reason for ending your services. Not that I would have wanted to keep the lame duck service anyway. But, if you want to call that irreconcilable differences -as you did on your withdrawal papers- so be it.

When you have your first meeting to prepare and the attorney tells you "I haven't had the chance to read your paperwork yet" then why did I waste my time and why was I paying for it?

When the judge yells at your lawyer that's usually a good indication that you are going to lose.

When the lawyer says to get there at 8am knowing the judge doesn't arrive until 9am and goes through the easier cases first, what is the purpose of being there early? Other than to eat through the retainer.

I thought things would be improve after Matt suggested having another attorney on the team take over - supposedly with him overseeing.

She showed up late not knowing where to go. Then left me to fend for myself because she clearly wasn't prepared. The ex-wife attorney didn't even have paperwork submitted so I don't know why we were even meeting- other than that the attorneys were getting paid.

The office girls are exceptional but unfortunately, lawyers here only care about the money and not about right or wrong.

I wasted $7000 and hope that others don't fall for the stories.

Near the end of 2016, my wife and I decided to file for divorce. On January 2017, I hired an attorney to file for divorce and start the process. I was really hoping to file first, but we were beat to the punch by my ex-wife's lawyer. This was one of the first signs to me that this lawyer was not working out. Although she was a very nice and friendly person, I felt that there was also a conflict of interest with her and my ex-wife's lawyer. Shortly after our first mediation, I again felt that she was not the right lawyer for me and she was out lawyer-ed.

I began to do my research and found The Men's Rights Law Firm. I called and made an appointment to meet with their staff. The day I came into the office of The Men's Rights Law Firm, I sat with Matt Irwin. I explained my case and how important it was due to the specifics. Although, not what I thought at the time to be a difficult case, the dynamics would certainly change with time.

I explained my experience with my previous lawyer. Matt made me feel like he really understood my situation and what would be coming up and what to expect. I hired TMRLF and although they are not the cheapest, I felt that I needed a good lawyer representing me as things were about to get seriously ugly. Soon after hiring TMRLF, their team sprung into action. They got all my paperwork from my previous lawyer and quickly scheduled a deposition of the wife and really showed a level of interest on my behalf.

As I mentioned, things began to get very ugly. Most contested divorces tend to get ugly at some point and this was no exception. Mr. Irwin assigned my case to Larry Smith (my lawyer) and one of his paralegals.
So, for the next year, Larry and TMRLF worked on motions, and were getting ready for trial. Yes, this divorce went to trial. This divorce was and is still a nightmare.

As trial approached, the opposing lawyer began to create smoke and mirrors and did whatever they could to discredit me and my testimony. Larry worked on my case as best as he could considering the circumstances. I met with Larry and Mr. Irwin and explained what the opposing lawyer was trying to do. During the trial, the opposing lawyer did everything she could to ruin my reputation and cast doubt on my side. I can't get into the details of my case, but needless to say, the ruling was very harsh and not in my favor. The financial and parent sharing ruling were devastating!

When the dust settled after trial, I reached out to The Men's Right's Law Firm and spoke with Mr. Irwin. He was very concerned about the outcome of this divorce. Mr. Irwin was generous with his time discussing our options and will continue to work on my case. I am currently rating this law firm 4 stars, however, this rating may change depending on the next course of action. To be continued...

I went shopping around for a real fighter of an attorney, not one that is just in it for the money. I heard Men's Rights floating around from co-workers and friends about how Matt is the real deal. I do not feel grudge just sadness . As a man and Father in distress i will not get help from law firm who stand for Man's rights as they advertise . There is lots of men like me who work very hard but cannot afford such a high fee in 1 payment . I will still great all of there lawyers with respect when they come to my place of work .

After a misunderstanding on the initial call, I have an appointment.

Twice I set up a phone consultation and twice I was stood up. No one ever called me at all. Not even to apologize... if they can't keep their promises from the beginning then what should you expect later.

Update to review:
The response to my review is even more upsetting... the first time I was stood up I called back later to find out what happened. The secretary was very apologetic. She said there weren't notes put into the system telling a lawyer to call me, but promised that the managing lawyer would call me Friday morning and double checked my number at that point reading it back to me. And of course I never got a phone call after waiting Friday morning.

AFTER this review I get a phone call from the lawyer saying the number was wrong?! It would have been better to just apologize and see if there is any way you can make a customer feel better about the experience than to lie to them in my opinion.
