We used this law firm in 2017-2018 to handle the rather complex settlement of my mother's trust which dated back to 1995 in Florida. We needed to do this all from Texas where we live and where my mother had lived for the last 10 years of her life. We were able to manage everything, including contact of and communication with long, lost beneficiaries, from our home through phone conversations and email. It was all done carefully to protect everyone concerned and within a reasonable time frame.

We have used Elder Care Associates for our estate planning this past year. Ellen was phenomenal. Her expertise and patience with us was great. We are very pleased on the time she took to make sure we had covered everything and that all was set up correctly. Hi praise for her and the office.

Howie and Jami, I can’t even begin to thank you for EVERYTHING you did throughout the process of trying to get Medicaid for my sister-in-law Susan. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect any of the problems we encountered along the way. When Susan was about to move from NY to FL I went with her to see her social worker regarding the “transfer” of her Medicaid benefits (LOL). The social worker told me that all I had to do was call the Florida Medicaid office, tell them that Susan had moved and give them her NY Medicaid information. Boy was she wrong! Paul wound up doing a google search for a Medicaid attorney near Deerfield Beach – being in NJ we had NOTHING to go on but faith. I thank my lucky stars that Elder Law was the only firm he called. Jami, you knew how to handle every twist and turn that we confronted trying to navigate the system. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You know a bit about Susan. You’ve met her and spoken to her. She is someone who has always fallen through the cracks of the system and has had to fight tooth and nail her entire life for what comes easily to you and I. This will make a huge difference in her life.

Once beyond the advertisements and office location it's easy to see the "make as much money as possible" mentality of attorneys. Ask friends and relatives for a reference. This group should not be on the list.

We made an appointment with Mr.Krooks and it was confirmed that we would be meeting with him. Upon arrival we were not told we would not be meeting with him and did not see him at all. We met with an associate, who then put another Attorney on speaker phone to do a conference call with us ? We did not know why the situation was occuring because it was not explained to us. I called ahead to inform them that we were a little lost and would be a few minutes late. The person responded; I will let Mr Krooks know.
The Attorney on the conference call said hello, the young lady began speaking and he hung up on the conference call. The whole situation was rude and we felt as though we were mislead. I expressed my feelings and was told she was here to take care of us.. We were charged $500 dollars for this consultation that we thought was to meet with Mr. Krooks. If they told us this upon our arrival, we would not have continued with this appointment and would not be out the $500 dollars we spent. The young lady was very nice, but when you are told you have a confirmed appointment with Mr.Krooks you expect it especially at $500 dollars for a consultation. No apologies offered, explanation why or were we told or offered to be rescheduled with Mr.Krooks.
