He and the staff are friendly. I understand he's a lawyer but keeping $1,200 after we concluded his services weren't necessary. He never legally filed anything for us only had our paperwork. $1,200 for time i don't believe is right. We're in the same situation only $1,200 further in debt.

I sought legal representation through Mr. Berlinsky. Although we were able to get through the process...I felt I was left a little bit in the dark with some of the items included in my bankruptcy. I found it very difficult to get a response from his office after the court proceeding. When I was in his office, I was told my tax debt could be included.
After 4 phone messages, and 3 emails-1 month later to his office... The response was ”I’m not a tax lawyer.” This response I received left me in the dark, leaving me making multiple unsuccessful phone calls to the IRS for the last week.
I would have been satisfied and would have left a better rating if I would have been told this information from the beginning.

This was my first bankruptcy filing ever. I have to say, coming into this especially so young, I was nervous, I didn’t know what to do I didn’t even know where to start.
