Prior to working with Luke, I hadn't ever experienced a large and important legal matter, but he made it as easy as possible. When my son was 5 months old it was discovered that he had about 7 broken ribs on his left side and unfortunately, being his mother, I was the first person who would be suspected to have hurt him. Being in that position is heartbreaking because there isn't anything you can do but wait. In the meantime, my son was taken from me for 2 months while an investigation was being conducted. A very crucial and delicate part of this situation was that I worked at the same facility in which my son attended. It was a very difficult time and tensions were high (to say the least) due to the fact that the other potential suspects worked in the same building as I did. I was taken off of that list after investigators could confidently say that I wasn't a threat, and my son was given back to me. Almost a year later, I had been experiencing severe anxiety, depression, and horrible nightmares due to the fact that I didn't have an answer as to what happened, or even justice. I felt as if the person who harmed my child had gotten away with it and I just had to accept it. It was around this time that I was contacted by Luke. He immediately got my attention because he informed me that he was currently working with a family who was dealing with the exact situation as I was--and their child attended the same school. In fact, they were also in the same classroom. I met with him that same month and filed a lawsuit against the school.
After two years of meetings, going over documents (including notes from my doctor explaining that a very "large amount of force" had to be applied in order for my son to receive the injury that he did), and providing every piece of evidence we could, we agreed on a settlement. I'm beyond grateful for Luke's dedication to seeking justice for his clients because that's exactly what he did. Thanks to him, I no longer experience nightmares, and my son's entire college tuition is paid for. My son has been taken care of in a way that I couldn't have ever imagined.
**Unfortunately, the school is still running perfectly fine...even after licensing came by, found false/forged documents, and then stated, "I'm surprised you guys haven't been shut down yet".
