Had her as an attorney for a divorce for 4 years only was able to talk to her I think twice in 4 years never went to court then a court date comes up and she is on medical and I had to pay another useless lawyer to attend the case it should have never taken anywhere near 4 years and she says I have no money left in the retainer after doing nothing on my case and that’s according to 2 other attorneys that ended up taking the case over the last one who handled it took the case over from ground zero and finished it in 3 months

If i could give no stars, i would. DO NOT contact this attorney. I went through a custody battle and contacted Whitney Lonker. On our first (and only) phone call she presented herself in a very professional and compassionate way. After she got my payment for her services, i never spoke to her again. She could never be reached and during my custody battle she took multiple medical leaves. One of which included six months of silence. Her paralegal was stuck in so much work that the only things that got done with my case were faxing a few papers. Here i am, a year later, still trying to contact this lady about getting my money back. I had to go through this entire process with no help, no guidance, and no attorney. After this I’ll be placing a complaint with the BAR committee. Don’t hire this lawyer unless you want to empty your pocket for absolutely no service.

I’ve not personally used Whitney Lonker myself, nor would I.
I have associates/friends who are using her and have been waiting over three weeks for her to get them an emergency custody hearing set up. She tells them the craziest lies about why this isn’t done but because the family has zero experience with attorneys they don’t realize how poor of a job she is doing nor how over priced she is. I caught her lying to the family red handed a couple years ago, and even though it was not a big deal of a lie, it was still a lie. She told the family the judge would not hear the case that day due to how late it had gotten, I knew that was not right. So I looked it up on CORE and right there it showed that she asked for a continuance because she was not prepared.
However, in her defense, I don’t see where she claims to be a family law attorney. So the blame is really on the family. And I realize there is no such thing as an honest attorney, but if she had any scruples at all she would send this family to an attorney who specializes in family law. The child they are seeking custody of has two sisters already being raised by their fathers parents whom have custody of them. The mother was court ordered into rehab during the pregnancy of the child they are seeking, and the child was born addicted. So how Whitney has convinced this family it’s taking so long to gather everything needed to request an emergency hearing is beyond my knowledge. From my perspective it appears she sees the inexperience and lack of family law knowledge the family has and chooses to keep taking their money while she uses them as her family law learning guinea pigs. What a shame, too bad Whitney has no ethical conscience.
And that’s the short version of all the issues I have with this attorney.

I was dealing with a difficult EX about getting custody or visitation for my 2 girls 10 and 4 years old (Now). I thought Whitney was going to help me as she promised, but false hope. I asked her for a refund of some of the money (2,000 out of the 8,500 I paid thus far), but she refuses.. o well lesson learned. 2013 - 2014 Don't waste your time or money with her.

Whitney saved my life! I cannot say enough good things about her and the amount of passion, effort, and understanding she put forth during our difficult time. I would highly suggest her to represent you in your time of need!

An ace up my sleeve, Whitney Lonker, a reputable criminal defense lawyer in Duval Co., used her acute knowledge of the legal process & of law in a winning defense strategy in my 11th hour of trial. I spent 2 days, not 35 years in a jail. She's got the courtroom experience of knowing how the judges tend to lean in deciding a case and who the prosecutors AND who their bosses are and how the State Attorney's Office's works on the whole. Her charm, poise and grace are known to them all.
She fought hard for me perhaps because the real crime was that I was even arrested. Still, I faced 35 years and spent two days in the jail, time served... if you don't count the fact I had to resign from NASA KSC as an educator for these bogus hearsay charges and the 11 months I spent worrying.
Legal representation like Whitney Lonker is going to cost you, all private attorney's will, but you are going to get a conviction if your suit doesn't have a better suit than the prosecutor. Her legal team, they are so kind and her office is so conveniently located (to Valentine Bail Bonds and the jail).
