In June of 2016 I retained Boyd Law and Amy Alleman. I had driven over 2000 miles from the East Coast to try and locate my little boy and try to see him as well as file for Custody. My son was 8 at the time and due to his dad not following the existing order and allowing me to talk to him or see him and finances at the time I had not been able to see or hear from my son in five years except one brief moment in 2013.
Within two weeks of my arrival in 2016 I was in front of the judge, granted supervised visitation to be held in August, legal custody and Mediation in August and a hearing on the matter in September. I was also granted 5 visitation days a month I exercised flying out to California and back.
In September 2016 our hearing was continued to February 2017 however my son was able to come home to the East Coast for the first time in 7 years for Christmas and see his family he had only met twice.
In February 2017 our hearing was continued again to July for a Trial Hearing but with Amy on my side I weathered the storm we continued to gather evidence and in July 2017 a year after I started I gained full custody of my son. None of this would have been possible without Amy and all the ladies at Boyd who encouraged me along the way when I became discourage.
My son is now thriving in school and making straight A's. He has settled into his life here in WV but hasn't gotten used to the cold and snow.
If you are ever in a situation like mine and feel like you have no other place to turn I highly encourage you to consult with Boyd. They really do take the time to listen and guide you along the way. As this was a very emotional case for me Amy always kept in touch with me and still does to check up on my son. Even with the time difference she was always quick to answer my calls and emails even in the middle of the night.
I could never thank Boyd Law and Amy enough for what they have done for me and my son and I will be forever grateful.

I am appalled by the FALSE accusations made by Felipe Arroyo against Boyd Law and Emiliza San Diego. Mr. Arroyo and I never had a mutual agreeable separation of assets. His offers have been extremely unreasonable. Boyd law did NOT manipulate me in any way to withdraw money from my 401K account, they didn’t have knowledge of it until after I had already taken the money out. Mr. Arroyo collects and has control of all of our assets. I live paycheck to paycheck and had no choice but to withdraw from my retirement account to make ends meet and for legal representation. Boyd Law had nothing to do with Mr. Arroyo’s used of personal information, it was his bank that made an error and contacted him to apologize. Mr. Arroyo is attacking Boyd Law because they’re helping me in trying to get what rightfully belongs to me after 35 years of marriage. I highly recommend Boyd Law. Emiliza San Diego and the staff at Boyd Law have been extremely helpful, professional and kind. This is the reason why I felt the need to reply to Mr. Arroyo’s false and unfair accusations against them.

Karie Boyd and her team are some of the most amazing, caring lawyers out there. I have known her and her colleagues both as a colleague and as a client. I can't say enough good things. Honest, reliable, professional, and get the job done. They helped me with two separate issues and did it fast and in a very cost-effective way. Thank you, Boyd Law!
Need to thank Karie and Conor. Also the rest of her great team. Especially Conor! Thanks for being there to help me navigate this very stressful situation. Helping me make the right choices when I was at the end of my rope! Literally at the eleventh hour! On new years eve. You came thru! Just under the wire! And that was just the start! So based on results so far... I know I'm in good hands at this juncture. And have every faith that you have my best interest at heart on the rest of this journey. Thanks again.

What a joke of a law firm...one of there attorneys Matt Cadwell doesn't have a clue what's he's doing. He has threatened me with jail time if they didn't get a check from me when the check had already been sent and cleared days earlier. The guy apparently doesnt know how to communicate and get his facts straight before harassing clients.I will be seeking legal action.

Run the other way! I hired this firm for a family issue. It was supposed to be a simple issue. The attorney did not even contact me, I had to keep her on the case. Finally my papers were filed. My attorney, Ms. Butler, never called me to ask for any type of papers. We met briefly before going to mediation. Didn't call me after. I knew my court hearing was coming, so I wrote an email to Ms. Butler with my side of the story for court. I called and spoke several times with the paralegal, but Ms. Butler didn't call me back. The day before my hearing, I had to call 5 times until the receptionist told me Ms. Butler would call me back in the afternoon. Finally, after 6 pm the day before the hearing Ms. Butler called me. She was late for my hearing and had no defense documentation because she never asked for them . She read a list of some of the reasons I told her. Basically I fougt my case. She didn't give any ideas of any kind. She repeated some of the things I wrote on my first email. Said several untrue things in court (because she just never asked). During court, of course, it didn't go well. She didn't have the documentation and didn't know the case. After $6,000 only $64 were left. Definitely do not recommend it. I did not give it 0 stars because it is not possible.

The attorneys at Boyd Contreras did a great job for me in my Orange County divorce. From the initial consultation on they really set themselves apart. I was into my divorce for over a year and for over $20k when I decided it might be time to seek different representation. There is no shortage of divorce attorneys in Orange County, but finding the best fit for your particular situation can be a challenge. My particular situation involved a prenuptial agreement. My prior attorney had done many things without notifying me and seemed to have almost set my case backwards. The divorce attorneys at Boyd Contreras listened to what was important to me and went about accomplishing that as efficiently as possible. Their billing was always fair and I never had to wait even an hour for a returned call or email. I worked with Tom Georgianna on my case and would highly recommend him. He got up to speed on my case in lightening time, accomplished more than my two prior attorneys combined, and was great in front of the judge. It is hard to find aggressive representation who can also mediate with the other side so that the divorce eventually does come to an end. I should mention that I had previously gone through two other attorneys before finding Tom at Boyd Contreras. I retained the first attorney because he seemed nice and his hourly rate was cheap. I got just what I paid for and got nothing accomplished in my favor. Then I went to the other extreme and went to an overly expensive attorney who was too aggressive and never wanted to settle, never returned calls, and got upset when my goals differed from hers. Needless to say, it is so important that you start your divorce off with quality representation. Switching attorneys is an expensive nightmare. If you are looking for a great divorce attorney, I highly recommend you check out Boyd Contreras in Irvine. My divorce was a complicated one, and I am more than pleased with the outcome Tom Georgianna achieved for me.
