Horrible experience! I read the reviews before and should have listened! This was a terrible experience with many people within the firm! Free legal aid did a better job on our case. They are unprofessional when speaking in front of a judge and to clients!!! They filed things we told them not to file and made things worse and of course keep running the bill!!! $150 to “consult a co worker “in the firm for 10 mins, sounds more little 10 mins chat break make the client pay!!!! They cut and paste signatures instead of using docusign or a legal signing method! Like the other reviews below RUN!

RUN!!! I left original review when they were still Claery and Green but I see they’ve switched to Clarey and hammond. Sad to see the other horrible reviews but at least I know I wasn't the only one robbed by this fraud of a firm. I thought my ex was the worst human alive until I made the terrible mistake of choosing them to represent me. They made it as expensive and painful as possible. 20k for no kids or assets. Oh and did I mention my ex didn't even have council! They should be disbarred for so many reasons.

I can't even describe the level of incompetence this firm has. This is by far the works experience and almost a criminal one! They have been around San Diego only for 6 years !! I should have checked with the BBB ! Numerous complains filed on various site! I believe they were ran out of LA due to their extremely unethical billing practice ! I have honestly never experience such criminal behaviors from any law firm ! They charged my card with out permission ( did not sign a billing agreement nor did I authorize it. They actually got my friend to authorize MY card. Which is a clear violation and FRAUD!! They bill to have a "chat" among themselves ! The worst part is when it got down to business they actually failed to file the paperwork so we lost on that alone ! $7000 AND NO ACTUAL work was ever done ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you value your case , your money and your time along with your sanity STAY AWAY !! also the goon they send to "smooth" things over when you realize you have been had ELI don't believe his lies !! like I'm a moron I don't need flattery ! I need result ! I don't see this firm being around long term too many other more honest caring firms out there ! I cannot stress this enough !!! Total FRAUDS !!

Ditto on Valenza only he had Beverly Hills call me to convince me Mc Donough wouldn't be representing me and despite having no money they could write a security agreement on my house. McDonough continued to represent me without my knowledge and every time he went to court $1,500 and then both weird motions that failed contradicted each other. They did no discovery which is the only reason I hired an attorney versus just coming in and presenting photos. No photos either 1 black and white cut off where it would show what was the evidence. This is just to begin with. $40,000 security agreement was use up on contradictory motions and then they asked for and additional security interest of $25,000 and McDonough decided to charge me his fees to record it right away.... A colossal mistake with bouts of razzmatazz (inducement).

Restated,I asked for my file and the more I see the more I feel that the representation of this firm was so bad that it had to be intentional. Nobody can be this careless without knowing what it does to the case. The work product was purely an exercise in billing. For example subpeonas issued with no disclosure to the other party. Letters stopping discovery due to Mr McDonough stopping the discovery I hired him for billing me for this work. Subpeonas reissued only when not enough time to obtain any information. No verifying veracity of any statement by opposing council. Filed in two different jurisdiction again for creating billing for two cased and to have the judges throw the case out in both court rooms because either case was filed at same time in another court. Erroneous assertions that contradicted notes taken with "email" signature by me that allowed the othe party to assert me as a liar, also to hand the other party a win. The cost $10,000 in very limited court appearances as the other party continually got away without a sweat and the $1,500 flat rate of a court appearance amounted to no presentation necessary and if so no preparation for one made. The billing amounts to conversion of property.

Was not my attorney. Mr. McDonough represented my ex- husband. He bombarded me with so much incorrect paperwork, (which cost his client extra money).I would advise you to look at a different family law attorney. Divorce is not a pleasant experience. Make sure you choose the right attorney. Good luck!
