Michael Fremont has good google reviews so I hired him. He handled the majority of the case but at some points he asked me to come to court, each time I showed up he

1.) didn’t know my name
2.) asked for a reschedule
3.) never allowed me the opportunity to speak on my own behalf
4.) had a STACK of client folders in his rolling back pack none of which he seemed to have any familiarity.

And in the end tried to call it quits with a very poor plea deal which would have landed me with a large fine and probation amongst other things.

I was fortunate to hire someone else that properly handled my case.

This was 5 years ago, in 2014. I’ve had time to calm down and get over it and I still feel other should be aware of his inability to properly represent/defend his clients.

I'll make this short and to the point. Michael Fremont also advised me not to get into details regarding my case. Heard about him through word of mouth. That is how he was recommended to me. I was arrested with a BAC of 1.5 taken through blood. Mike got that motion to suppress the evidence. I was taken back on how he really went up to the plate for me. Communication throughout the case was outstanding, he always returned phone calls & text messages. I would truly recommend this lawyer mr. Fremont! From a DUI he got me down to a wet -reckless! When I first called him I got a response right away. Mr Fremont is really good at answering right away, a long with his secretaries. Not only he took care of my DUI but of another speeding ticket. With my wet reckless obviously I didn't want to have another point on my license, mr Fremont went to court for me and they dismiss my case. I am really happy with his job and all the help he gave me

Michael recently swept the court room floor with unbridled passion and incontrovertable professionalism, resulting in the suppression of all evidence in my DUI case assimilated by SDPD. This trial was a career ending one due to my military service, that Michael was able to save due to his obvious respect of the court, other council and command presence of the courtroom. It was completely evident that Michael knew the ins and outs of the law, and cited a controlling case that the court followed in the suppression of all evidence!

I recommend Michael Fremont. I had a very complicated DUI case and the DA and Judge were on a mission to convict me. Another lawyer tried to argue my case at first, but in the end, it was Michael Fremont who made the winning argument that led to my complete exoneration. Fremont is a brilliant researcher, a tremendous orator, and his knowledge of both law and human nature is unsurpassed. You can probably pay more money to a bigger SD law firm and get a less qualified junior associate, but why would you ever think of going to anyone else while Mr. Fremont is available. If you need a great lawyer, you must hire Michael Fremont. If you don't, and you end up convicted, you will have nobody to blame but yourself. I know that if I ever need a lawyer again, I'm calling Mr. Fremont, and if anyone near or dear to me needs a lawyer, I'm sending the, to him, and nobody else.

Let me start by saying I'm not new to the legal world. I have had my fair share of drinking related issues. That being said Mr. Fremont is by far the absolutely worst DUI attorney I have ever retained. We set up a meeting in his San Diego office that he only uses to meet with clients. After we went over my charges which was my 4th DUI in a 10 year span, 3 of which were in another state. When he informed me that CA goes back 10 years of DUI's and my current one would be a felony I began to sweat. He looked me straight in the eyes and said I had a good case and he was so excited to defend a case like mine because the some laws had just changed of the way the police department took my blood. I was not up to date of CA DUI laws and how strict they are but Mr. Fremont looked me square in the eyes again and insured me that I would not be looking at jail time so I hired him right on the spot. This is where my confidence in him ends, the first 3 times I had court he didn't even know who I was so id have to approach him. He would tell me everything is going to be ok and not to worry. Well I have no choice to worry seeing how my job and life were on the line. As time and court appearances went on things got worse and worse. He lost every single motion hearing we took before the judge and manage to piss off the DA and judge on a regular basis. The court reporter had to ask him to speak up almost every time we were in court and was quite rude when making statements to the judge. All this happening while he's assuring me this isn't a jail case and I wont be going to jail. After losing all the motions we have one last chance by having a bench trial on my prior DUI's in another state. Well we go before a judge that doesn't hear a lot of cases like mine so she was a little lost herself. Mr. Fremont had his worst performance at my bench trial, he argued against a fresh out of law school DA and was embarrassed. Once I was found guilty on felony DUI, the judge increased my bail from 2500 to 50k, Mr. Fremont looked at me and said "oh wait I didn't know your bail was that low". I told him that he was my attorney and those were facts he was suppose to know. So off to jail I go for 30 days until my sentencing hearing. Mr. Fremont at this point begins to tell my girlfriend and my boss that I may be looking at serious time. Umm why would he say that when he's been telling me throughout this process not to worry jail wouldn't be on the table? So I go into my sentencing hearing completely blind and not knowing what to expect. At my hearing he hands me a copy of the probation report and that they are recommending 365 days in custody and 3 years on probation with my custody to serve half of the 365 in a work release program. So the hearing begins and right from the start Mr. Fremont isn't prepared. The DA completely embarrasses Mr. Fremont and made me look like a monster, everything I asked Mr. Fremont to speak on in my behalf he literally told me to shut up or I was going to prison. I have recently started looking for attorneys to maybe fight an appeal or a sentence reduction, every single attorney I have talked to laughed when I said who my attorney was. If that's not a warning sign I don't know what is

Let me start off by saying "Mike was the only one who answered his phone that Sunday Morning at 8am !
When you are worried and confused about what the hell just happened...Its a very welcome hello and that's a understatement.
Its a long frustrating journey and answers you want now just don't come.
Mike would say...over and over again "THESE THINGS TAKE TIME RELAX "
Right from the start he picked up on the fact that this was a unfair arrest.
He stayed the course and won my case !
He took a year but he did it WE WON !
You also need to know that Mike was the only one who said 'This is my cost if don't go to trial and this is my cost if we do.
Every other Law Office said "its this much no matter what "
So if I get it done in a day or a year its the same amount ?
Mike charges as you go ..which is flat out fantastic.
Mike is good guy who knows the law ...don't waste your money on all the Bling go with a guy who knows how to fight the old school way and gets it done.
