As an east coast-er with a a beloved son living in San Diego w my “x”, as you could imagine my anxiety levels remain elevated. I interviewed several firms to help with support/custody issues and WOW am I so lucky and 100% happy with my choice of Moore, Schulman & Moore and in particular Julie Westerman. She is transparent, straight to the point and strategically able to penetrate the emotion of family law to create a long term path to success for a client. Understanding yet fierce when necessary she is a great combination of “firm & fair”. The MSM office support is stellar and stays on top of the details of the case and Julie just flat out gets it done. The costs are very fair and total professionalism through the roof. I support and very highly recommend these folks for anything family law related from complex litigation to the simple t crossing or i dotting they are spectacular. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jeremy Boyer is a little man with a big voice. Dropped the ball on my partners case against her ex...when her ex hired a formidable top family law attorney opponent, Jeremy folded like a cheap suit. Cannot recommend this firm because of our experience with him.

From my first experience to the last Julie Westerman was professional, understanding, and able to clarify a very difficult process. Dealing with family law issues is a very intimidating and overwhelming experience. However when we started talking to Julie I instantly felt calm and more confident about my situation. And when Julie was in the courtroom with us I felt like she not only had my best interests in mind, but my whole family's. I cannot thank these people at this firm enough for the outcome of my case. Family law is not something I would recommend trying to do on your own. I did it for a few years and felt like I could never win. Now I feel like I have won. I have recommended multiple people personally, and will continue to recommend anyone that has a family law issue to this firm with the knowledge that there life will be better off on the other side. Thank you Julie Westerman and thank you Moore, Schulman, and Moore.
Peggy Moore and her team at Moore, Schulman and Moore were amazing! They helped me through my entire divorce - one of the most painful and frightening times of my life with quick communication, honest and expert advice, caring concern and kindness. I always knew that I could count on the entire team if I needed to ask any questions or find out more about my situation. I was in a very long-term marriage so the divorce was at times scary, as well as emotionally exhausting. Peggy and her team were always available to help me walk through the process with confidence and strength. In the end, the settlement was fair and honest and I am very happy. I would refer Peggy and her team to anyone dealing with my situation (in fact I already have!). I wish them all the best!! - Nancy

AMAZING SERVICE!!!! I retained an attorney with MS&M to handle my divorce case. In one of the most difficult, stressful, upsetting times in my life, when nothing was certain I knew I could count on my attorney to be there for me. knowledgeable, experienced, and respectful staff who will go the extra mile while fighting for you! I pray to god I wont need them again. But If I do, I wouldn't think of retaining anyone but an attorney from MS&M.

I highly recommend MS&M. Dave Schulman took my case and handled things quickly, efficiently, and professionally. When faced with a legal issue and potential custody battle you want the best team you can get--and Dave Schulman is just that. The stress, for me, was significantly diminished knowing that I had a good attorney, and his team, guiding the process. From correspondence to a complicated out of area court appearance, my family and I were in good hands with Mr. Schulman. We appreciate them very much.

MSM made my divorce more easy than I thought it would be. The associates I worked with had all the answers to my questions and concerns. They made me feel they had my best interest in mind. I didn’t have to step foot in a court room. 5 stars.

Jeremy Boyer and his staff, Sara and Stacie, helped me secure a BIG WIN!
Post-divorce I suddenly found myself in need of an attorney to help me fight for the protection of my kids. An acquaintance referred Jeremy Boyer with the warning that he's aggressive. That is exactly the type of attorney I needed!
Unlike the attorney I used for my divorce, Jeremy heard my story, believed my case was worthy of what I was asking, and went for it. My previous attorney, during my divorce, left me feeling defeated by giving me all the reasons why a judge would likely not grant me what I wanted despite a lengthy history of compelling evidence, and urged me to settle for much less than what I knew was best for our kids.
Jeremy was the type of attorney I needed from the get-go. He gave me the best and worst-case scenarios, didn’t sugar-coat anything, but also held the motto that if you don’t ask, you don’t receive. He also didn't let me get pushed around by my ex; he pushed back on my behalf and encouraged me to hold my line.
While this process was definitely mentally and emotionally taxing, Jeremy's guidance, counsel, and representation in court lead me to get what was needed to protect my kids. I sleep better now, knowing the orders put in place will keep my kids safe.
I am forever grateful to Jeremy Boyer and his staff, Sara and Stacie.
A word of advice for those seeking divorce: What you expect to be a fairly amicable process often turns ugly and you are faced with a person you didn't know existed. At that point, you don't want an attorney that simply goes through the motions. No attorney can guarantee an outcome, but they should at least put forth the effort to secure you the best outcome legally possible.

Mr. Erik Moore and his staff are total lifesavers! The process of divorce is harrowing and painful but the people and Moore Schulman and Moore, and especially Mr. Moore, made sure my dignity stayed in one piece and kept me informed every step of the way. I would and I have referred both Moore, Schulman & Moore AND Mr. Erik Moore to others seeking advice regarding divorce and family law.

Moore, Schulman & Moore attorney Nicole Martinez proved to be very helpful and thoroughly knowledgeable in her field of law. Nicole shepherded me through a complex legal situation, and was very efficient with her time. She was able to explain legal concepts and complications very clearly and helped me reach resolution in an expeditious manner.
Additionally, the support staff was also very efficient and helpful when routing documents, invoices, etc...
I recommend MSM, and Nicole Martinez for help in legal matters.

Danger!! Stay away from this law firm!
They truly do not care about anything but billing and taking your money. Eric Moore didn't even want me to pay my personal taxes so that I'd have enough money to pay him. He did absolutely NOTHING for me. His last bill for me was over $70,000 for a single month and we didn't even go to trial. Overall, I was with him for just under a year but the first 6 months were inactive and he didn't do anything at all. After the cool-down period, he worked about 6 months, accomplished absolutely nothing, and billed me a quarter of a million dollars.
This entire firm is a billing machine SCAM.
His first question to me was about what my assets were. It's clear that from day one, all he cared about was how much I was worth so that he could drain my finances to serve his own self-interest. He's a complete fraud.
I urge everyone to stay as far away from this firm as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to me. I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake as I did.

Fascinating how so many of these positive reviews are from people who have only done one review...Allow me to add my story to the terrible experiences with this firm. Late for meetings, unorganized, slow to follow up, not interested in your case, waiting until the last minute to do work, no strategy, no timeline, just bill. bill, bill. The key attorney on my case left the firm and I wasn't even informed about it. I mean, I know I wasn't always the best at following up but after nearly $200K of billings I finally had enough after they deposited my settlement money into a trust account that they control and have refused to release the funds to me. I've given them evidence of excessive late fees, over-billings, and poor service and they refuse to resolve it. I've finally taken them to Fee Arbitration with the Bar. I'll probably have to still sue them for Malpractice and Fraud. Do yourself a favor stay and away from this firm at all costs.

The absolute worst representation in San Diego. From the total incompetence and negligence, lies, and mismanagement made the already stressful process of divorce profoundly more overwhelming, costly and without any change In custody or child support from when we first began. Jeremy Boyer took on my case with an overinflated confidence and I had to chase him down to get my case moving forward From then on, Jeremy did nothing but cause further contention with my ex and initiating a totally unwarranted discovery process that took months to complete. His initial summary of my case was inaccurate and I needed to redo the entire document as it was full of assumptions, untruths, and evident that this was about creating conflict with my ex and lying to his counsel. When we went to court Mr. Boyer “forgot” my Income and Expense Declaration, which was the most important document to have at this hearing He nervously shuffled through his paperwork, made a call, and then asked me to decide to fate of my case. Opposing counsel served Mr Boyer with an order requesting that the judge dismiss all pleadings for child support and alimony due to not having a recent Income and Expense Declaration. I spoke with Mr Boyer the day before and I asked him if he had everything he needed for the hearing and how I needed to prepare. He told me to just “show up.” At no time was I told that the court hearing could be extended which he later denied, despite witnesses hearing him communicate to me that I had to make a decision Immediately while Mr Boyer offered no advice and was entirely unprofessional, laughing and joking with opposing counsel at one point. After I was coerced into negotiating, we vaguely discussed wage garnishment and he stated, “we will take care of that for you.” I have in writing after the court hearing to Mr. Boyer that my ex was paying me regularly, timely, and without incident. Months later I received a call from my ex indicating his wages had been garnished. I contacted his Mr Boyer said he was not obligated to inform me in writing of this motion. I then contacted the State Disbursement office and was informed that Mr Boyer had never submitted the IWO to the state and that my child support checks were being sent to my exes ex wife before me. I had to inform his paralegal of the legalities regarding state disbursements. No case number was assigned to me and when they did finally submit the order, Mr Boyers staff misspelled my name prolonging this even further .For 2 months I did not receive a child support check and Mr Boyer was unapologetic and took no accountability for the financial burden his negligence had on me and my children’s well-being. I requested a change in representation . After repeated phone calls to the firm, I was contacted by Mr David Schulman who assured me that my case would be handled appropriately and that I would be credited monies owed for these mistakes. . I now owe $19,000 after having already Paid over $10,000 for noting!! my settlement was no different than at the beginning Before hired them. STAY away from these crooks. They will lie, make promises they never intend to keep and will create problems where there are none. My case was eventually settled in his office with a mediator and he told me that the divorce would be settled and that there was nothing left to do other than have me contact another lawyer to separate the finances of my exes assets through his work, ie filing a QDRO and sorting out 401k plans and money owed. I then get a notice about an FRC hearing and he insisted this was necessary. There is not enough room here to provide the blatant negligence of my case. If you hire this firm, be aware that they are all about creating non existent issues to keep their pockets filled. They are what gives Family/Divorce such a terrible reputation.

Mr. Jeremy Boyer recently represented me during a lengthy divorce, during which I lived out of state. He and his team were extremely professional, communicative, and available. He definitely provided valuable insight into the process and proceedings, and always acted and advised in my best interest.
He took a "no nonsense" approach and was refreshingly direct. He made a very stressful and worrisome situation much easier to deal with, with a more than acceptable resolution. He even took the time to send a quick email to me after immediately following court proceedings that I did not attend, which was greatly appreciated. I think he understood that being out of state added additional stress in my waiting.
Additionally, his confidence and in depth knowledge of the law inside and out was very comforting throughout the process. The team was 100% prepared, with accurate and detailed documents at all times. Very impressive. Also, it was nice to see his great sense of humor during the "wait time" at court. :)
I would recommend this team whole-heartedly - if you're local or not!

YES I won, and due to the fantastic representation from Jeremy Boyer, Jillian Minter and team! Here's the scoop.
Divorce case where I had the support initially from Jeremy as an attorney as consultant for what was initially an amicable divorce. Divorce finalized and then ex started new litigation to set aside the current divorce agreement. Hired Jeremy and Jillian for representation.
What a tag team! Jeremy is the take charge guy who you want in your corner since he WANTS to win and is on your side. Jillian is the "I is dotted and T is crossed" person who will tell you how it truly is. You want her in your corner since you can be assured everything is researched and prepared. They told me what was needed, and I learned early on to trust their judgement. It was my first time ever in a courtroom setting and it was overwhelming, but they kept me focused and on track. A new judge was hearing the case, so we all had to learn his style. It was a comprehensive case that could have gone either way.
The result: VICTORY, and more so peace of mind.
Lessons Learned: Start with full attorney representation even if amicable to ensure documents are all completed correctly. Attend the Superior Court's One Day Workshop. You get what you pay for. I am SO glad I got quality and experienced attorneys and did NOT try to go the economy route. Document everything as soon as the discussion of a divorce begins. Remember, that everything you do and say WILL be used for or against you in the court. Let your attorney's guide you. The Family Court is a "Court of Equity" so consider this in your case.
Thank you Jeremy, Jillian, Stacie, Sara for all your help and assistance. Very Well Done!

David Schulman was arrogant, and improperly prepared for my court appearances. If I were to go through the family court system again I would want someone that was more and advocate for me, and not just a checkbook for this very poor excuse of a wanna be lawyer turned surfer. I think Dave Schulman watched the movie Point Break and decided he wanted to be a Johnny Utah....This review is intended to show my dissatisfaction with Dave Schulman, I just wish I had Googled this before I hired him...Good Luck to those sad folks in the family court system, it's hell.
