Waited on hold for 8 minutes, then was hung up in. Second phone call was on hold 10 minutes, when the operator answered she neglected to provide any information because she was under the assumption that I did not live in the location of the complaint. She simply stated to fill out an application. Very unprofessional, free usually means what it means.

I just called the number to ask about legal assistance and the person who answered did not really care about my case. He just kept interrupting me and asking me questions, and then when I asked him about the price he automatically said that it was a motion and started talking about around $500 dollars. I told him my case was in a particular state, but because he kept interrupting me he could not even provide me with the correct state. No thank you if the Rep cannot help me on a general question and does not listen to me I am sure this place will not a good job.

When I first called to see if I qualify, everything seem to go OK, I was told to wait for my three day notice, once i received that i was trying to notify the representative that was assisting me, a month had went by & I forgot the lady's name.. Went to the office and the lady at the front desk was rudely talking to a man ahead of me once done with him I got the same treatment but she did give me her me and said to call her because of the non appointment. I got that no problem.. Calling the office and u GET NO ANSWER someone kept hanging up the line.. U best option is to try another FREE agent. Poor customer service all the way around.

very poor,
In 2006 I received service from Legal Aid Society, I was really happy with the service cs I got help from real attorneys, I spend 4 hour with them, actually there were 4 helping me with my case, I am really thankful with the help, I felt protected by them, Everything was done and finished in 2 weeks.
NOW everything is different, you just get clerks reading laws from the internet, you don't get help at all..!! they just read to you what is on there, that's something you can do your self, I think there's no more funds,,, Maybe I don't know what happened.!! have a good day and hope I can find someone to help me this time.!

They are very helpful and here and everyone whom I ve had dealing with from legal aid reprsentatives phone people and intake girls at the court house are excellent and helpful. They were helpful here at their main office and to me, because I have an actual case and prepared and of course I qualify for aid being poor and facing discrimination. Some folks might think they are going to do everything for them, and thus are disapointed, legal aid is only going to help a Person who prepares is qualified and has a case.

As an SSI benefits recipient, an attorney for this organization had the audacity to tell me the San Diego Legal Aid Society hasn't enough funding to help people who's SSI benefits were wrongfully suspended. I couldn't even get the person at Legal Aid in charge of grievances to return my phone call. I finally rode public transportation to their ghetto executive resources office, located on South Euclid Avenue, to extract a grievance form. Time will tell if my grievance paperwork will provide me with any legal assistance from this organization. If you're looking for help from the San Diego Legal Aid Society, don't expect to get it over the phone.
