I usually don't write reviews but in this case The Law Office of J. Daniel Gregory did such a good job for me I wanted to let others know about them. Initially, I had major doubts about being approved for SSDI after I heard how hard it was to get. My friend used their office and had great results so I thought I would give them a try.

They worked step by step with me through the whole process and gave me lots of hope about my case. I did end up getting approved!

I can tell you that the stress and worry in my life has been much alleviated after being approved for SSDI and my social security payments went up too.

The law office of Mr. Gregory has many 5 star reviews. I'm very skeptical person, but when I read those 5 star reviews, I realized those are true stories with the true details just like I'm going to write my true story as follow.

Long story short, my CA attorney dropped me when I got schedule for the hearing.
I called the SSA myself.
I was so confused, the lady has no clue what I talked about and I didn't even know what I was talking about. But she was very nice, patient. She adviced me to find another attorney in FW.
Easter Sunday, I was so sad, after praying to God to help me, I googled "SSDI attorney near me".
J. Daniel Gregory law office came up as the closest one.
I wrote the brief message of my situation.
To my surprise, someone replied to me after a short time (on the holiday weekend).
Monday, Mr. Gregory and his team gathered all of my information, medical record and working on my case quickly because we only had less than 2 and half months to the hearing day.
In the meetings with Mr. Gregory, he worked hard, worked fast and had knowledge about medical.
The hearing day came, everything went good. He even called and paid for my Lyft ride home. He and his assistant left after they made sure I got in the van.

The CA attorney dropped me causing me much more confused, distress and depressed.

My initial appointment was helpful with them telling me what information I would need from the social security office. I was then told to wait until I had everything and then call back, that's when the great service ended. They never even looked at my case to see if they could take it or not. The most caring attorney I have met. I just started my journey with him but after the first meeting I knew there would be nobody else I'd trust to help me with my claim! I was literally tired of trying to prove my illness to Social Security...I had a 2 month window to get prepared to go in front of a judge...I went into my consultation w Mr. Gregory not expecting much I thought I know Drs and there gonna be the ones who help me why do I need an attorney...after a 3hour talk that seemed like 15 minutes I was absolutely blown away...I had been thru cancer, back problems, and now a heart issue...and I thought I knew what I was doing...I left that meeting embarrassed of my stupidity after he showed me what these Drs were writing in there reports, to some degrees of major deals if a judge were to read that report...so he told me what I needed to provide on my side remind u I only had 2 months to get years of paperwork correct and have some major test done...he told me exactly what to do...to make this a lil shorter...I just opened my SSI disability letter telling how much I was going to be receiving July 1st...my court hearing was April 28th...if it weren’t for him showing me what I REALLY needed from my Drs...If u talk to a Dr. and they tell u oh I’ll write u a letter saying u cant work or anything along those lines it will not help u...U need a lawyer and Mr.Gregory did in 3 months what no Dr. has done of 20 years of not having insurance and I’m not even 40...he got me not only Medicade that will pay off 100 of thousand in hospital and Drs fees and from now on I do not have to worry about...oh I can’t go see this Dr b/c I can’t pay...easily over a million that I will need for hospitals in the future but I now get a disability check that I didn’t know was an option...It may sound cliche but he literally saved my life in 3 months after 3 years of trying to take on SS myself...I only have 1 regret and that was I didn’t talk to him 3 years ago...He will have u shaking ur head at what some great Drs I thought were gonna lead my charge were really doing...the answer is a Dr is a Dr...if ur dealing w SS on anything u need J. I’m taking a moment to submit a review about my wife’s excellent disability attorney, J. Daniel Gregory. Freda now has been granted 100% disability by the Social Security Administration after nearly 4 years effort.

Why did it take 4 years? Because the first two lawyers we contacted didn’t have a clue, frankly. The first one was fired for being cruel to Freda, and the second one dropped us like a hot rock when we drew an administrative law judge he didn’t like.

Do you know what neither of them did? Gave us useful advice.

An acquaintance referred us to Daniel, and as soon as we sat down with him, he let us know right away that he was going to show us how to gather the type of evidence we needed to provide to Social Security. Not made up evidence; we needed to get the correct tests done that would definitively show Freda’s disability. She had had a stroke and multiple seizures along with chronic pain issues associated with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. As it turns out, the definitive test for Freda was a psychiatric test that objectively measured how well her mind worked and showed that Freda had severe deficits in memory, among other things. We KNEW that, but we couldn’t PROVE that – until Daniel informed us of the correct test that would provide the solid EVIDENCE Freda needed to prove her case. With Daniel’s help, we didn’t even return to a hearing – the new case was handled administratively and granted in a relatively short time by SSA standards.

Would we recommend Daniel? Absolutely. We were blown away by his knowledge of how the SSA works, his aggressiveness (as a former prosecuting attorney if my memory serves) and his clear direction. We wish we had found him at the beginning of our efforts but we lived in California then and hadn’t made the connections that would lead us to him.

Mr. Gregory was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I had been battling worker comp since 2009. We began our Social Security Disability battle in 2011. Mr. Gregory helped us tremendously. It had got to a point that we were about to lose our car and home. When I was hurt at work in March of 2009, my wife was a stay at home mother. She instantly had to find work again. Not even coming close to the pay we were accustom to bringing in every month. Over the next few years we had depleted any savings we had, closed out all retirement accounts and took out a home equity loan just to pay our mortgage, car payment, insurance and utilities each month. All credit cards had been defaulted on. We had 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers at home. My wife was working 2 jobs and trying to take care of all of us. I will never forget her cooking the kids hot dogs by candlelight one night because our electricity had been shut off. She held it together and made it like a camp out inside. Finally got the kids in bed for the night and went to take a bath and I could here her sobbing in the tub. She was stressed but never let the kids see or feel any of it. We finally ended up moving to a small town, where I grew up and she got a job making better money with benefits. We fortunately sold our house during a good market and was able to make some money on it. Then Mr. Gregory won my case with SS and Me and the younger kids started to receive benefits. But SS denied the back pay. Mr. Gregory continued to fight for us and in August of 2016 we finally were approved for back pay and should be receiving about $112,000.00 any day now. Though I have not met Mr. Gregory, his staff has been very helpful in filing my disability claim. When I needed an appointment, they were able to schedule me immediately.
