I am also an attorney in California and while I did not know Melissa personally previously, I contacted here to discuss an important legal topic. She was gracious enough to return my initial voicemail, and we ended up chatting for almost 30 minutes. Melissa is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the law, but also the practical application of the law. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a professional...she is nice...and she is fun to talk to!

Melissa lacks phone etiquette and is quite unprofessional. Her number one priority is not you, but your money.

Very responsive, attentive and knowledgeable attorney is the best way to describe Melissa. This is some one who actually understands the law and she personally answers every call. She really knows real estate law and how to prepare leases and handle tenant issues.
I consulted with Melissa Marsh on a legal matter that I was facing. Her advice was spot on and I am satisfied the the entire experience. I am looking forward to working with her again with other matters. 5 Stars!

Ms. Marsh represented me in both my corporation and real estate matters. She was extremely responsive, honest, and promptly returned my emails and calls. Best, she formed my California corporation in a week! Attorney Marsh also assisted me in negotiating both my commercial and residential leases. Highly recommend to anyone who needs the assistance of a California corporation attorney, or real estate attorney. For quick questions and advice, nothing beats her $99 same day telephone consultation.

DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!
I found this attorney's website and suggested my friend (a senior disabled widow) consult with her regarding an eviction action. I arranged the initial interview for $99 via her website and paid for it so my friend (who is quite shaken up by the eviction notice) could concentrate on explaining the issues surrounding her case (which are many). My thinking was that if the initial consultation was going well, we'd simply pay for more time.
Backstory...My friend has been an excellent tenant of 24 years in a pricey building in Sherman Oaks. Her landlord lives out-of-state with his partner.
I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure that a landlord's not allowed to make a copy of the most recent fully-executed lease (which was signed by both parties), substantially alter key terms in the copy of the properly-executed lease to create another "fake" lease (one that says more monthly rent is being collected by the landlord for a longer term than it states in the real lease), THEN take the tenant's signature page from the lease the tenant actually signed, attach it to the new "fake" lease and submit it to a lender for a loan...which the landlord was approved for and for which the landlord received over $150K for his efforts! The tenant never knew about any of this until recently. And that's just a tip of the iceberg of shenanigans this landlord has done (and is continuing to do to my friend, things like attempted renter's insurance fraud). The lease thing sounds like senior financial abuse and mortgage fraud to me. But, what do I know, I'm just a self-employed USC grad who realized my friend had reached the point where she needed to present our proof and hire a good attorney. It's too bad we thought that attorney might be Marsh.
I sincerely hope this attorney was just having a really, Really, REALLY bad day and the way she acted on our call is not the way she is to everyone on the daily. Yeesch!
Here's what happened... Marsh called. My friend and I greeted her. My friend got tongue-tied trying to explain what was going on. She's scared. She's recently found out about what this landlord's been doing behind her back but she doesn't know what she hasn't found out about yet that he's possibly involved her in without her knowledge. She didn't know where to start so she kept trying to start over. She was clearly overwhelmed. Instead of realizing that and trying to calm her down, Marsh's responses were short and impatient. That shook up my friend even more. She asked to hand the phone off to me to continue the conversation. That seemed to make Marsh even more impatient. I got the phone and started to explain but didn't get very far before Marsh just tossed out a couple of suggestions of what to do with the "fake" lease and ended the call by saying she would be refunding my money. All this happened in a matter of moments. The look on my friend's face was confusion mixed with complete deflation. She felt she'd essentially been "dismissed".
This attorney's manner was off-the-chain inappropriate. She knew she was talking to a senior because my friend started off the call by telling her how old she was. I'm so thoroughly disgusted at what happened that I don't care how amazing her website is, I would NEVER recommend this attorney to anyone for anything EVER. In fact, I'd encourage her to ask her webmaster to add a Disclaimer to her website, "If you're a victim over the age of 65, please call elsewhere. I'm not interested." I really wanted to leave NO stars but the post wouldn't have been published.

Melissa recently helped me through a very tense tenant issue. Her knowledge of every detail and nuance of the law gave me a great deal of confidence in a positive resolution. I'm happy to say that everything went exactly as she said it would. I set up a phone consultation and received prompt, accurate advice and had complete confidence in having her handle the situation. If you have a landlord-tenant issue, you need to call Melissa.

Ms. Marsh helped me getting rid of abusive subletting person which has become violent and would make false accusations against me. She would take this case when number of other attorneys would turn me down due to complicated nature of my relationship with the subletting person and lack of any paperwork between me and the subletting person. I received the most professional legal service I could hope for, and very importantly Ms. Marsh made me feel like I have a heavy hitter in my corner. All my legal issues were resolved in my favor and I am giving Ms. Marsh my highest recommendation.

Melissa is by far the best landlord/tenant attorney I have found and trust me I have dealt with many. She is a true shark and knows her stuff. This woman has helped me out in so many ways when it comes to not only my landlord tenant problems but my business as well. She knows the answer to everything and doesn’t bs and very direct. If you want honestly she’s the one for you. I know her consults aren’t free but you get more than what you pay for. I have also recommended others and they love her just as much.

Paid for consultation for 1 hour, couldn't reach her to hire her. It seems she is only interested in doing web based consultation. Ended up hiring a different group.

I highly recommend Melissa Marsh to anyone in need of incorporation. She is smart, and does everything necessary in a remarkably expedient timeframe. She took care of my initial incorporation in April, 2016 and when I needed to change my corporate name she took care of it in less than 2 days. Melissa is very responsive to questions you may have, and she answers her phone and email quickly. She gets the job done professionally and at reasonable rates. Melissa is an excellent choice for those in need of legal assistance with their corporation.

Melissa Marsh, in my opinion, is the best corporate lawyer I have found and dealt with in my experience. Her ability to get to the heart of the issue with her knowledge and understanding of situations and needs with corporations is unmatched. I have dealt with some of the largest and best law firms in the industry and guarantee you that you cannot find a more qualified lawyer than Melissa Marsh. Her experience with real estate law and corporations is highly regarded and appreciated by myself and my colleagues. I have found my attorney for all my counsel needs: business advice; drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts; organizing and maintaining my California corporations and LLCs; estate planning; advising both myself, as employer, and my employees on employment law matters; real estate transactions including purchase and sale agreements. I understand she is a whiz with neighbor disputes, Los Angeles landlord tenant and eviction matters which I hope I never find myself in a situation like that.

If you want to form a new corporation, this is the attorney to do it for you if you want it done correctly and quickly the first time. This attorney responds quickly and follows up on telephone calls and e-mails and keeps her clients in the loop. Melissa is a pleasure to work with because she knows what she is doing. I would highly recommend her (on a scale of 1-10) a TEN, to anyone who wishes to form a new corporation. She is your go-to-attorney!!
