Every interaction I have had with this law firm, and Billie in particular has shown me their dedication to excellence and service. While they are clearly competent lawyers with respect to their knowledge of the law, the thing that sets them apart is the thoughtful way they have put together their team and systems to help their clients get the best results for their situation.

I loved how attentive and informative Jen was! She was so reassuring and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. It was a great experience! I've used Modern Law for many years and I would recommend them to anyone who needs an attorney or have any legal family matters. Kylie is also amazing! She was wonderful with my custody case in 2016. This is by far the best legal team out there!

They don't keep their word; they did not do what I hired them to do (including responding and propounding discovery); they billed for things they did not do; they don't supervise their paralegals; they were late to the hearing. I would not recommend.

Billie and staff greeted me on time and delivered a 20,000 foot view of what I could expect throughout the legal encounter that I’m about to pursue. Different plans are available to fit limited budgets, enabling self-representation backed by sound legal advice.

I asked what the retainer fee was . They told me it varied by attorney and case. When i got to see the lawyer I was told all the lawyers in the firm charge 5000 retainer. This is after they took 250.00 from me for the consultation. So i feel it was unfair they did not tell me this before I wasted 250.00.

Modern law is an innovative approach to people's law needs at an affordable price. The service is second to none. Being concise and direct helps both parties in being efficient while getting the job accomplished. After several dealings with modern law I wish I would have used them for my divorce. It would have saved me a fortune and probably had a considerablably better outcome.

I am at the beginning of a long dreadful and what I felt like was a very complicated case to me. My attorney in just a couple visits and communication has changed my perspective on how I look at this challenging important matter. As someone who works in the legal industry, I can say without question that the attorneys (and the entire team) at Modern Law are committed to getting the best possible outcome for their clients. I've never seen a family law practice in Arizona, or anywhere else that is so well managed, and focused on providing a great client experience as the people in this firm.

If anyone I know ever needed an attorney to handle their divorce, or a child custody issue, I would absolutely tell them to call Modern Law.

SUBSTANDARD, INEFFECTIVE and INATTENTIVE!

If you value your case and your finances I would HIGHLY recommend you find another much more qualified Law Firm that can properly and diligently represent you!!!

My initial intake was with Billie, owner of Modern Law (I believe) who I felt was competent and experienced enough. Unfortunately no sooner than I had paid the retainer to hire who I thought was Billie to represent me; my case was assigned to Kylie B. a much more junior and seemingly less experienced attorney. One who either was unwilling, incapable or had too heavy a case load to spend the time required to truly understand the finite details of my case. Instead the majority of the time matters were handled by assistants or legal aides and not the attorney assigned. I would only hear from my attorney the day of or the day before a upcoming hearing, (reminiscent of a college student cramming for a test the night before a big exam; not an attorney who is actively representing a client) with months apart between conversations.

After several months, many thousands of dollars and numerous losses with no wins; always appearing to be a day late and dollar short when it came to representing me. I hired another Law Firm to take over the case. Only than did the full extent of the inadequate representation by previous council become fully apparent. As it took new council several weeks to begin fixing the unresolved issues, mistakes and simply missed opportunities left behind by Modern Law.

Modern Law was so helpful in my divorce, it was very much worth the investment to have someone walk me through the process, do all the paperwork and be present with me at court. They were always willing to answer any questions I had quickly and I felt they charged me fairly for the work completed. Everything I needed to do was outlined and so easy to navigate, it took a huge stress off of the entire ordeal to have them there!

I was recommended Modern Law by a local website for low-cost divorce and Kyleigh and her team were excellent in organizing the materials, putting together all the paperwork and explaining everything to me in a way I could understand. I was impressed by how quickly everything went and was resolved, and how well I was treated despite this being a very stressful time for all those involved. The only downside was that it ended up costing more than they originally quoted me, but I would still highly recommend them to anyone going through a similar situation. 4-1/2 stars.

Modern Law is AMAZING!!! Specifically Darin was the best. He litigated a custody and post decree modification case and he was great. This was such a difficult situation and so stressful and he was so calm and honest through the whole process. No one likes to ever go through something like this however if you have an advocate like Modern Law and Darin it makes it much easier to conquer.
