Waited close to two months for an appointment, called day before to verify and got a cancellation phone call late afternoon the day before. I guess he forgot he had a tee time on Friday. Please keep in mind he deals with the elderly, time is of the essence. Find someone else.

Submitted December 3, 2019: Mr. J. Kevin Tharpe is a client’s worst nightmare. Mr. Kevin Tharpe caused irreparable damage to my family. In July 2014, he charged my parents $12,000 for financial planning and to prepare a simple a revocable trust document. The revocable trust he prepared was missing estate assets and fatally flawed. At that time, my father was 93 years old and my mother an 88-year-old mentally incompetent victim of a severe stroke. He caused my family to spend almost $250,000 in legal fees to try to reconcile my parent’s estate after Mom’s passing in August of 2014 and my father’s passing in January 2015. That’s almost 5 years of legal hell and portions of their estate have yet to be dispersed. I have legal evidence, including his court ordered deposition that prove the damage Mr. Tharpe caused. I will never be able to recoup my full share of the estate. Every time I hear his radio commercial, I boil with anger that this man might be jeopardizing finances and rights of special needs children, adults, seniors and veterans. To those of you who have received financial planning or had documents prepared by Mr. Tharpe, have them reviewed by another attorney. Make sure they include all the assets and protections you and your loved ones need. Make sure that before you die, your family will not face years of legal actions and huge legal expenses to settle your estate. Don’t put your family in the same legal predicament my family found ourselves in. For the people that didn’t get an appointment with his firm, consider yourself very lucky.

Kevin Tharpe is the WORST attorney in the state of Georgia. He is not capable of defending a viable case and ONLY wants your money. He doesn't prepare, he doesn't even know the facts in his clients cases, he does not always tell the truth. BEWARE! He might be able to type up a will, but couldn't defend it. STEER CLEAR!!!

Kevin Tharpe is one of a dozen lawyers I have called trying to figure out how to create a will-mainly to ensure that our newborn would have the guardian of our choice if we were to pass away suddenly. He was the only one however that didn't charge for a phone call, didn't avoid giving me information, and didn't quote me a ludicrous document cost. Instead we had a quick and pleasant conversation that left me feeling confident and prepared! His schedule is a little busy, but it was worth the wait.

Outstanding Professional Advice from Kevin Tharpe! My wife and I used Kevin for our own personal estate and trust planning. We were so pleased that we recommend him to our business friends, who also used Kevin for their business and personal estate planning. They also were extremely pleased. Now our adult children are using Kevin. He always explains the options to us, assumes nothing, and educate us first before decisions are made. The finest experience I've ever had with estate planning, elder care, trusts, and asset protection.

After an initial chat session on Mr. Tharpe's website. He promptly contacted me and was extremely helpful in answering my questions concerning guardianship. Although my family member was in a county a good distance away, Mr Tharpe called an attorney in the area and briefed him on our concerns, at which time he called us back and recommended an attorney to us that was located in the area we needed.

I am not one to typically write reviews online so the fact that I am taking the time to do so speaks volumes. I have been working to help an elderly family friend for several weeks now regarding some legal questions and steps she needs to take in areas that I know very little about. What I quickly found out is that virtually every person I spoke with gave me conflicting advice on the same subject matter and most often spoke with seemingly little knowledge in and confidence in their advice. I decided to seek the counsel of an elderly law attorney. I was hopeful, but not too sure that anyone would assist in just answer questions and giving guidance to me without me being a client. I googled attorneys in the area and Mr. Tharpe's office was third on my list, the first two rendering no help. To my surprise I was able to speak to a sweet paralegal and explain our situation. She wasn't sure where to guide me so even more to my surprise I was immediately put through to Mr. Tharpe...at 4:45 on a Friday! We spoke in detail and he not only laid out a plan for me, he did so in the plain, direct, and confident language I have been seeking. We were on the phone well after hours, something of which he didn't owe me. Not to mention I am not even his client, he was not getting paid for our conversation. I was highly impressed by this because it showed me he truly cares about people and helping, not just the almighty dollar that others I have interacted with primarily concern themselves with.
