Only reason they don't get a 4th or 5th star is because the NEVER answer the phone and they don't have a notary on sight. Not to mention the fact that they turned me card off before the new one even came in the mail. NEVER AGAIN

If you give this bank 5 stars you must not know what try customer service is! I’m sorry there is no reason why you should have to call a bank 10+ times and no one answers EVER!! My debt card expired and hey never sent another so there’s no way I can get to my money! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

This is the worst!! bank ever the reviews are right these ghetto none customer service people this what happens when black people run a bank I recommend people to go to founders or metro credit union you wait so long with tellers running from drive-thur to front they never can resolve a problem no after hour number you just have to wait I'll be closing my account today

I went to FLCU for a car loan. I took in my application. I was contacted by LeDeana Cochrane which was very help in approving my loan. She worked with me very patiently, because I was calling her to find out how much the bank would approve on the cars I was looking at. Each time I called her she took the time out to help me which took almost a month before I found what I was looking for. The day I found the car I was looking at, she was out of the office for a few days I kind a freaked a little , because she was the only one I had been talking to, so I left her a message on the phone telling her I had found a car. I got to the dealership they called the bank and everything was ready to go. LeDeana had sent everything over to Chris Which had taken care of everything while I was at the dealership. LeDeana called and did a follow up when she got back to check to see if I was satisfied with everything.
I would like to Thank LeDeana and Chris for being so helpful during my process of buying a Vehicle

I got off work early for the purposes of opening a new account at this bank. I first sit in the waiting area for 10 minutes, thinking someone from one of the offices would assist me. Finally I got in line. Only one person in front of me. It still took 15 mins to get to the window. Then I was told, that they won't open an account because it's ALMOST five o'clock. This bank is by far the worse bank in Charlotte NC and surrounding areas! But it's full of black people and when you go there, it's either bad attitudes or they in other offices gossiping. And lord don't call them on the phone cause you want get an answer!

WHOEVER IS THE BOARD MEMBERS, YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO ALL THESE BAD REVIEWS. WAIT A MINUTE, YOU DON'T CARE....

By far the worst experience Ive ever encountered.Yesterday (6/14/2019) I went to make a car payment and at first the transaction was going great.A young lady sat ne down at their vitual station,got my info to make thr car payment and that's when things went turned for the worst.After gettibg my card # and license # Im thinking ok we are done i am i am good to go.WRONG!!After getting my info the lady ends thr vitual session comes out of her office and says ,"I have to help another customer do you mind going to the window and they can process your payment there"...Confused but I said yea thats no problem thanks.I get to the window where Im not even greeted no hi no how can i help you no nothing Ms.Octavia just looked me up and down.She looks at me and said,"gimme yo card" I handed her my debit card she steps to the side runs my card and comes back to the window and said,"yo card declined ain no money on dis card here".Loud in front of everybody so I was taken back because I was 100% sure she was wrong.I immediately called my bank Wells Fargo the rep said,"its definitely funds in your acct however the merchant is running your card as a credit card,have them to run your card as a debit card and a debit card only".I tell Ms.Octavia what Wells Fargo told me to tell her ans Ms.Octavia bluntly said ,"Oh they cant tell me how to run my machine fis my machine i run it how i want to".So Ms.Octavia walks to the back comes back to the window ask for my card again runs the card as a credit once again.Ms Octavia never ran it as a debit my car payment still needs to be paid hopefully Monday I can have someone else help me since she refused to comply. The rudeness the disrespect the lies of my card being declined due to insufficient funds all of these things should never be tolerated in anyones establishment.This place really needs either new staff or coaching.In the same breathe Ms.Octavia is a very older women she old enough to knows better.Overall I highly recommend people to stay away from this place.Its not worth it...thank god for the gentleman Chris.He took care of the payment and explained the way she was processing the transaction was not correct in regards to my Wells Fargo account.

Can never get someone on the phone. The bank is not that big and I'm not understanding why no one can pick up the phone. Terrible customer service. You should not have to go into the bank to ask a simple or question. Also my debit card always embarrasses me when trying to use it for purchases. Try to support small businesses and this is what you get.

It’s been 3 weeks since I noticed that there were some unauthorized charges on my account. I immediately go into the bank and let them know what’s going on. The teller tells me to write the disputed items on paper so they can investigate. I did as she requested, they immediately shut my card down. I am then told that it will take 45 days to get my money back after they investigate. I then leave and also see some others that I did not include in my dispute. I call the bank to let them know because at this time I have made it to work . She tells me I have to go back in and add it to my dispute. This now becomes a inconvenience, not only do I hear I can’t get my money back for 45 days I have to go in and add more disputes instead of the bank just adding what ive noticed. I go back to the bank to see my paperwork laying on the counter after a whole hr and a half. Now get this it’s now 2 weeks I haven’t gotten any correspondence letting me know that my bank was working to help me and then they keep the account open for more transactions to attempt to come out. This bank is causing many issues and so unprofessional I have not even received another bank card. What kind of bank would not do there beat to assure me that I am valued and they are going to work to resolve my issue. The worst bank ever I am still incurring fees on an account I no longer have access to

I chose this particular credit union, because they’re black owned and been around for many years. In the 3 years I’ve a member, the customer service has truly declined. Which has now forced me to make a decision to closed my account and look for another credit union!!

Closing my account at this bank. They never answer the phones smh, why have a business and you never answer. Little over a week ago I went there to talk about getting a loan I was told that the person that do the loans wasnt there. I went back the next week got off work off work early just for them to tell me that the person was there but they were to busy to talk. Was told to leave a number and someone will call me back well that's been over two weeks and still have not received a call. Whats the point of being with this bank and you cant access all its features. Done with this bank.

For some reason I can not use my card. I've been calling all day and only get a recording that won't let you leave a message. I will be there first thing Monday morning to close my account. Business has really gone downhill.

Horrible - run away, run away FAST! Online functionality is horrible and worthless - you can’t make a loan payment and the information showing online is always wrong. There is no customer service as it ALWAYS just goes to a voicemail and they NEVER call you back. My emails to my loan officer go unanswered - I have had a loan with them for 4 months and I have yet to receive a single statement on what I owe - I basically have to ensure I hound these guys every month to find out the amount owed so I can pay them on time. They are a total pain in the butt and I regret ever doung business with them. Worst banking ever!

I really hate to give a bad review but the service has went downhill in the last few years. They dont answer the phone even when the bank has just opened. They don't return phone calls and they seem aggrevated that you even came to the bank. Please improve First Legacy, I used to really but a proud member of your bank. I even referrred members. Now I regret it.

After the employee clean out, the service has went to hell. Had a fraudulent transaction on my account and the told me to call and see what I can do first then had to fill out 4 documents basically re-writing the same thing on each and was told it could take 120 days before I get my money back...wth. With my other credit union it only takes 7 to 10 days.

Is the a negative star?!Horrible place!!!! If your closing on a house and using your bank account will cause a stress attack! The tellers are all ghetto and doesn't have a clue to what customer service is!! Trying to get these unprofessional birds on the phone is impossible you would have better luck waking a dead person. Wiring money you have to be there by 3pm or you have to wait until next day cause the birds are counting down until 5:00pm. I absolutely hate this place. I rather put my money in my mattress. Tellers are slower than a snail stuck in honey. No atms. Black bank with all the negatives. First legacy is under new management is freaking horrible

I will say when you go there in person, you are treated well. But, if you are able to visit, getting through by phone is the worse experience. You never reach a person, nor does anyone return your calls....annoying when can't go...

I have no problem opening a bank account (Gastonia Branch). I didn't call, I just went there about an hours after they opened. I will say, the place was empty. Two tellers where at the window. Ok. When I walked in, one teller was on her headset laughing and clapping her hands. When I walked up to her window, she said, "oh, sir someone will be with you in a minute. Can you back up to the sign?" I turned around and d*mn near walked out but I thought about the real reason I came down there. It wasn't for this lady. As the urge pounded m, the other teller called me over, helped me out, and didn't skip a beat. SHE is the reason I give 4 starts.

I have been a member with this credit union for several years. Everyone that I have ever encountered has been very nice and professional. The main issue I have, along with several others...THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONES AND THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS. It is also very unfortunate that if you have a VISA Debit card, you can not use it to rent a car. Lastly, please understand that if you deposit a check over a certain amount, it will be held for 7 days. This is beyond ridiculous. They will not release one penny to you, even if you have money to cover what you have requested from your deposit that is already physically in your account. If you are a new customer or have had issues with NSFs or other issues that you personally have caused to cost the bank money, you may want to put a hold on the check, but if you are a long standing customer, have direct deposit, and have not had these types of issues, you should be allowed to keep at least $100 a $5000 deposit if you want to (just an example). Needless to say, I must get another account along with this one because there are way too many limitations to being an account holder that are not with other banking institutions. I will remain a member because there are many pros to banking with First Legacy but a 7-day hold on a check is not one of them.

Does anyone EVER answer the phone here? My God! I moved & they forgot the Apartment # off my address, so I hadn't received my new debit card with the chip in it. When I finally went back to the Credit Union, they gave me a stack of my mail from them. I am STILL receiving mail from someone else who banks from them, & I told them about this. & I still get her mail. She gets large envelopes from them as well, so I'm SURE they are very important papers. I tried to leave this bank last year, & they charge you to leave. I am just through! I would tell you my name, but anyone could just go to the bank & say anyone's name & get their money out. So you make your decision from this review! ✌

I'm new to the Charlotte area. I have tried to contact this Credit Union three times over the past three weeks to inquire about opening an account but no one answered the phone. I sat on hold each time for at least 15 minutes and never got a person to speak to. I went so far as to go through thier directory and left a voice mail with two different representativestyles and it's been almost 2 weeks without a response. I can call a white owned Credit Union and get someone to answer the phone within 5 minutes if not quicker than that. I do not recommend this Credit Union at all. If we want to be taken seriously then we MUST conduct ourselves in a serious manner especially when it comes to business! It's sad and highly disappointing.

Very unprofessional place. They take off more days than regular banks. There's one guy that works there who just ask your name to withdraw your money. I've actually had them to give me money out of someone else account that I had to pay back. According to the manager I should've look to see if my name was actually on the bank receipt before I accepted the money. Shouldn't you be saying that to your employee who took money out of someone else account to give to me?!?! There's no atm so your charged for every withdrawal along with the phone call to customer service. Yes charged for calling them. I can go on and on. I'm waiting on one check to clear to close my account. Which they charge for that too. Ridiculous
