My attorney Matt Vilmer, partner, helped me through a civil case that should never have been a case to begin with. It was over a 2 year process and he continued to show his depth of knowing litigation as if he were preparing for his law school graduate class. Over and over he outsmarts his opponent. Furthermore, I have used WBB for other needs, because it is like a one-stop shop. I have used them for a speeding ticket and to my amazement they were able to get me no points in a situation I was bound to have them. Attorney Katelin Taylor is well educated in this arena.

Eran Weaver put together my Will, Power of Attorney and Health Care Power of Attorney documents and while these might seem like a pretty straightforward set of documents, he asked me a ton of relevant questions and brought up various concerns that he felt I needed to make sure I addressed (or was at least aware of them). He spent the time that I needed to get comfortable with the decisions I was making and I believe I made better choices because of his guidance. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of those same services.

Bill Whittaker was very thorough and responsive. He is easy to work with and communicates clearly to make sure that all the bases our covered. I never had to wait long to receive a return email or phone cal. The law firm seems very organized. Every task from receiving documents to paying invoices had an electronic option and was easy to do.

The loss of my mother-in-law was very upsetting and a big concern because we (my wife, brother-in-law, his wife and myself) weren't sure how to manage the estate.

We asked for a consultation with W,B&B to get a summary of what we needed to do. I had used them for my father's will and POA in the past.

Eran was very polite and kind. It was clear that he had worked with people during their time of loss in the past.

However, we left the consultation confused and just as worried as when we came in. We hoped to learn what was required of us but ended up hiring them to do everything for us because we were worried we were going to get ourselves in trouble doing things wrong.

Over the next several weeks we slowly began to understand the process and became more and more frustrated that it could have been explained plainly in our first meeting and saved us hundreds or a couple of thousand dollars in attorney's fees.

Even when we decided we needed to stop using them, it cost another $220 just to call and say "Stop" and have them notify the county clerk that they were no longer representing us.

If you need to understand a legal matter, this is not the place to go. It will be explained to you in a manner meant to go over your head.

Again, Eran is very polite but most of the contact afterward is with his paralegal Haley and she is very difficult without customer service skills.

Our company paid Weaver Bennett and Bland to draft a real estate lease agreement for us. Now we have to enforce this contract and our litigator is uneasy due to a poorly written acceleration clause. We were charged over four hundred per hour for a contract that wasn’t written properly. It’s infuriating to pay overpriced attorneys for work that you can’t valid was done correctly until you have to enforce it. Before you leave these guys positive reviews, see how one of their contracts holds up in action first. Obviously we don’t recommend Weaver Bennett and Bland law firm.

Between the years 2012 and 2016, our companies hired Weaver Bennet & Bland to act as our registered agent, form corporations for us, draft lease agreements, facilitate the sale of one of our our businesses, and draft promissory notes related to the business sale. We spend well over 50K over the course of our relationship.

Around 2017, the owner, Lee Weaver, started another law firm in Matthews, Weaver & Budd. In late 2017, there was a conflict issue with Mr. Weaver and Weaver & Budd as we found out they were representing our opposition on some of the contracts that Weaver, Bennett & Bland drafted for us.

To cover Lee Weaver’s missteps in the conflict issue Weaver, Bennett & Bland lied in writing about ever representing me and my companies. They literally denied me ever being a client. Astonishing.

Not only does this show that honesty is not top priority with Weaver Bennett & Bland, but my situation also shines light on the fact that I paid a lot of money for contracts that are apparently easy to pick apart and fight. If these lawyers know the weak parts of their own contracts, why don’t they write them with more care?

Weaver Bennett & Bland broke our trust and lost our respect. We were good clients and should not have been treated so unfairly. Since they stated in writing that I was never a client, then I should get my money back. Since their own lawyers can find holes in their own contracts, then I should get my money back.

Bill has been the best lawyer anyone could ask for. I owned a business with my wife and needed to own it completely so I could continue making a living. He executed it very quickly and also informed me his plans through out the process. I never felt left out. He’s on top of his game. No one wants to be in this situation but when you’re in a separation, having a good lawyer that fights for you allows you to keep making a living and not stress more than you need.

Recommend every one to stay away from this Law firm. No communications and updates. Took money and did nothing. Hired David Bland to do work. When I Initially meet with him and explain in details my case and asked him if that is something that he able to handle. He insured me that Law on my side. And case is piece of cake. After few months of no updates I decided to call and they told me that they couldn't get hold of anybody from opposite party( by the way charged me for conversation). It took me 10 min to get a phone call back from same people that they couldn't reach for months. After a 7 months passed I didn't hear anything from them, I schedule meeting and stopped by office to get updates and he had no clue what property we were talking about(have proof of it) and I had to explain AGAIN who I'm and why I hired him. All he told me that other party attorney was fired which was well known fact. I told him not to do anything anymore for me. Anyway, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THEM!!!. Year later I asked them to give me detailed list of what I was charged for. No surprised that dates and time were not corresponded with reality and extra charges for something that never happened. And I will report it to NC State Bar.
ONCE AGAIN- if you want to save time and money- STAY AWAY!!!!!

We had a really bad experience with David Bland. He has very poor communication skills. He was rude, arrogant and condescending. In a nut shell: He failed to do his job and another attorney had to be brought in to influence the process before Mr. Bland took it seriously. A mistake made by his office cost us a lot of money out of pocket to a doctor that Bland had recommended. Mr. Weaver chose to back Mr. Bland and the firm took their entire fee plus what was owed to the doctor. They refused to admit error and we, the client, lost out. Find another lawyer.
