I am so late in writing this review. Melissa was so helpful with my daughters case. She came up for review of her condition, so you have an option, stop benefits or continue them but if you loose, you have to pay the government back. Melissa’s knowledge of the laws were very helpful. My process started over 2 years ago. Staff had NO sympathy and were almost no help when first went in. My wife and I almost walked out. Only stayed because my sister-in-law said the Attorney was good. Later, the staff had no idea what happened to some of the paperwork my doctor sent them . . . for months. We found out later that the paperwork had been filed, but none of the people we talked to could find it! We haven't finished the process yet, but I am less than impressed with the staff she had hired to deal with her clients. Haven't met our Attorney yet - hoping for the best. (Added later) Finally met the actual attorney ON MY HEARING DATE! Her office personnell had changed a few times by now - but she let us know that the info we had been given by the latest staff (at the time) was totally wrong. All the paperwork we had spent many hours collecting in the last few weeks of prep was useless. SHE was wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, and won my case even though at a few points during the hearing I was thinking I was sunk. But her staff was useless! She said on the date of my hearing that her staff had once again been changed, and apologized for their shortcomings. Hopefully the staff is better informed now. But the whole experience up till that last day was horrible.

My case was difficult bc I am young and no joke to first thing the judge told me was " I'm going to be honest its going to be hard bc of your age " ...they shouldn't discriminate bc of age unfortunately I am disabled and I am young and yes I my not look it but you cant see pain. Very unhappy with services for daughters disability case. Office staff gave confusing answers to questions, didn't return phone calls as promised, and did not keep her informed as to the status of her case. When her first denial came back, it took Proudian THREE MONTHS to file an appeal to social security for a reconsideration, pushing her case out that much further! This was all totally unnecessary and uncalled for. It would look like the purpose was for their gain only! I would NOT recommend this office if you have a sensitive or complicated disability claim!

Melissa is a very warm compassionate responsive human being who will completely emphasize with what you are going through and walk you through the legalities of the situation of your case. She also makes sure that you completely understand what you will be going through during your disability hearing and explains the possible scenarios of what the judge may ask you and all of this will be done ahead of time so that you will have time to prepare yourself with the answers you will need in court. I found out about her while I was staying in a nursing home recuperating from a Brown Recluse Spider bite and one of the nurses son has used Melissa to win her son's case.

I work in the legal community and have been acquainted with Melissa for many years. When I found myself unable to work and needing assitance with Social Security and all the red tape the government puts a person through, I thought of her first. However, I did my homework and asked for a referral from a friend who works for the SS Administration and Melissa was on her list of respected attorneys in the area. So I contacted Melissa and asked her to represent me. It was the best decision I had made throughout the entire process! Melissa knows her stuff and in fact, while at a hearing made a quick decision that most certainly affected the outcome of my application which resulted in a favorable decision for me. Amazing lawyer

The process for obtaining my SSDI was lengthy, arduous and Melissa and her staff had my back the entire 4 years. Melissa represented me through 3 hearings, which included a Federal Appeal that was decided in my favor. She never lost her kindness and professionalism and I am grateful to her for keeping her sense of humor and positivity through some really tense moments.

I’ve read some comments on here about her staff and must state it was my experience that the federal personnel were more likely to be in error/misfiling paperwork/having me sign the wrong forms, etc; rather than Melissa or her staff being at fault. You have to be cognizant of the fact that the government doesn’t want you to receive these benefits and will make it as difficult as possible for you to receive them.

You’ll need an Attorney who is intimately familiar with the process and how to advocate on your behalf. Melissa Proudian was that Attorney for me.

I was in a serious car accident that put me in a convelecent hospital for months. While trying to relearn how to function normally, I was cut off of my disability. However, I was not told until I was released several months later. I couldn't walk, let alone work and I struggled to survive. Thankfully, I was given Melissa Proudian's name and her and her staff were a huge blessing. She fought to get my disability back.
