My summons was for 85 mph which is considered criminal reckless driving. Joel's team obtained an acquittal. No points. No increase in insurance rates. No community service. No driving school. On the way to our family vacation to Disney World, driving through VA my husband got stopped in Bland County outside of the tunnel near the WV state line. I learned after investigating the "ticket" given to us by VA State Trooper- this was not just a ticket. This was a Class A Misdemeanor. I hydroplaned while traveling through VA and was given a ticket for improper lane change. I didn't hit any other cars, just totaled mine. I work in the transportation industry for a living and lost my job. Not only was I counting on him, I paid 3x the cost of the original ticket and received nothing but a headache. My name is spelled incorrectly in the court documents, little communication never sent any documents, over charged me, never changed my address when it was provided to them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Find someone else that doesn't have their cronies post good reviews for them .

Would recommend Joel to anyone charged with a sex crime or a VT student in general.

Joel got me off rape charges and had my case dismissed without taking any plea agreement or without any repercussions. If you are a VT student he knows the student conduct system very well. If you are his client, he will fight HARD for you.

I got a Reckless driving in I-81 on last August while I was heading for vacation with my family. The office gave me a summon of Montegomery, VA district court. I live in Reston, VA and the district court is Monegomery, VA which almost 4 hours drive from Reston. After some research on internet, I called Joel's office. Joel's associate Sean received the call and helped me to understand the importance and consequence of the case and finally he arranged a call back with Joel for discussing about the case. Joel was so nice, confident and trust worthy that I decided to hire Joel to represent me in the district court for defending my case. He even assured me not to drive down to the court date and he will handle everything in my absence. He assisted me on every corner of the case to gather evidence in support of my case. His fees is also much less than any other lawyer. And Finally in the court date my Reckless driving case was reduced to an amended non-moving violation charge of Defective Equipment. I'm from Canada and was stopped for speeding over 80 in a 70 which carries some heavy charges in the state of Virginia. Word of Caution DO NOT do over 80 mph in this state it is considered reckless and carries a criminal charge. Without going in to detail they got the job done and I am really happy with the results. I called Mr. Jackson's office and his very nice staff got me in touch with Mr. Jackson. He was extremely nice and professional and was there to help every step of the way. He got it reduced to a moving violation without points. I cannot recommend him enough.

After searching for representation in Montgomery county for a speeding violation, Joel came across as one of the most friendly and reasonably priced options. He was able to reduce my violation to defective equipment as he predicted. The only negative I have is that he never really informed me of the outcome via phone or email.
