My family and I were in the process of moving from CT to NC. After a busy weekend of moving some belongings down to our new house we got up at 5am for a 13 hour drive back to CT. About 3 hours in I must have dozed off for a few seconds and sideswiped a Tractor Trailer on I-81 in Virginia. Falling asleep at the wheel in Virginia is a Class 1 misdemeanor and is considered reckless driving. After some research we found Attorney Rider. Attorney Rider and his legal assistant, Diane, were awesome to work with. Very knowledgeable, thorough, and the communication was outstanding. I never felt as if I was left in the dark. The whole process was done over the phone and email. Attorney Rider was able to have the charges dropped down to Improper Driving and the charges will be dismissed as long as my driving record remains clean for the next 6 months. This was my first accident after driving for 36 years and dealing with the aftereffects was nerve racking. After speaking with Bob and Diane I felt comforted.
