I have had the mixed blessing of working with Mr Harkrader and Kara M. Payne at Marks and Harrison (Charlottesville) on two different occasions. I call it a mixed blessing because both times I had been injured by no fault of my own, so that part was no fun at all. However working with Ms Payne and Mr Harkrader could not have been easier or better. They answered all of my questions (I ask a LOT of questions) and never rushed me or brushed my concerns aside. They treated me with dignity and respect and I never once felt like "just some client". I was scared. I was injured and didn't know what protections I was are afforded under the law. Insurance companies were rushing me to settle, hospitals were sending me bills right and left and I was still trying to remember all the exercises they wanted me to do at physical therapy. Marks and Harrison, and specifically Mr Harkrader and Ms Payne, worked tirelessly to help me. That allowed me to focus on getting better and getting back into my normal routines and the day to day activities we all take for granted. It is a shame that I can only give them five stars, they deserve at least 10.

I was in my car pool and we were involved in an automobile accident. The driver failed to yield the right of way and we T boned her. We found out she didn't have insurance and was borrowing someone else's car after the fact. We hired Marks & Harrison to represent us and Kara Payne assisted us with our settlement. They were and still are the best and if I ever need them in the future, i'll give them a call. BEST EVER!!!
