Avoid at all costs!
I was referred to Charles Pincus and thought he was going to be my lawyer, but I was shoved off to Adrienne. She did absolutely nothing in the 7 months they had my case, except bill me for text messages and reading emails from myself. I finally had enough and fired her, she wrote me a nasty email back (apparently her ego got the best of her). We went to get our paperwork and after 3 weeks I realized they hadn't given me my remaining balance of the retainer fee, out of $2000 I received $270 back. I asked them why I only received $270 back when I had only received invoices for $340 worth of work and the accountant sent me a list of invoices I never received, from work she never did. They have the right words but their is absolutely no action. I also did not have a clue that she was a Juvenile Attorney, I hired them to represent me in a lawsuit brought against me from a former employee. Save yourself money and don't use this firm.

Terrable attorney. Stay away. I was charged over $400 for a phone call. I did not authorized. Without my knowledge filed a judgement againts me for non payment. This was in 2015. I found the judgement on Equifax and called to work this out. I was told the new charged due to intetest will be over $600. I asked for proof. There was no contract. He agreed to help my daught

I was exhausted with my situational crisis by the time I got Attorney Adrienne Goodman on the phone. I was exasperated, circling back remembering details to give her, losing my train of thought, and near tears. Ms. Goodman gave me her full attention and let me get all of my anxieties out. She was very professional, extremely patient, and made me feel completely at ease. I took a deep breath and waited for what she was going to say- I thought she would think I was crazy! She asked me a few questions about specifics and then started with "the first thing we're going to do...." and I felt immediately assured that she had a plan of action! I was so nervous to even talk to an attorney at all, but she made me feel like I was talking to a friend with my best interests at heart. And she didn't like that I had been treated unfairly and this was how we were going to resolve the situation. She is great- with any luck this can be resolved outside of a courtroom. The consultation with Ms. Goodman was extremely impressive. I was able to leave the meeting very comfortable and confident that Ms. Goodman would be able to represent me fairly. Throughout our first conversation it was very apparent that she was not, in any way, going to let me go down any path that would not help the divorce case. Ms. Goodman was available to answer any questions that I had, no matter what time of day or how ignorant they may have been. Additionally, her research skills were immense. She was able to discover very important things for my divorce case. She also has a tenacity that is unparalleled. While the divorce case was getting ramped up, I was undeservedly arrested on 12 counts of Domestic Violence fictitiously filed by my ex-Wife. As a squeaky clean Sailor, I have never imagined that I would be in jail for any amount of time. I was at my wit's end on how to proceed. In an amazing stroke of luck, I was able to contact the law firm and discovered that they were also Criminal Defense attorneys as well. Mr. Pincus represented me during this extremely trying time and I felt like I was watching a surgeon at work in the operating room. Mr. Pincus has a calm and laid back demeanor that honestly had me worried until I asked him during a recess what he was doing. He was able to explain his plan to me and what he was attempting to accomplish. At the end of every criminal case, when all was said and done, every judge's decision was an almost exact replica of what Mr. Pincus told me he was planning.
Both Ms. Goodman and Mr. Pincus have gone above and beyond with their care of me and my cases. They have litigated my divorce, multiple protective orders against my ex, and my criminal charges and I haven't "lost" one case yet. They have worked with my military command and kept them informed with letters and emails to my supervisors. They have even kept my family informed while I was locked up. I can't ever describe the immense debt and gratitude I have for this law firm. They kept me out of jail, sane, and employed during one of the most trying situations of my life. They have my highest recommendation and have even represented two friends of mine who have similar positive experiences with the lawfirm.

I cannot say enough good things about attorney Adrienne Goodman. My brother retained her for a divorce case and from the beginning her advice was spot on. My brother went through some pretty horrific things during the year he spent divorcing his ex-wife ( false accusations and arrests) and Adrienne was not only exemplary in her treatment of my brother but was excellent in her treatment of his family. She and Charles were both outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate from using them again or recommending them to people I care about. Great job guys and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Avoid Ms. Goodman. I've heard good things about Charles Pincus. However, when I called for a consultation with him, I was setup with Ms. Goodman. I thought a lawyer is a lawyer and being partnered with him means she's just as good. Not the case. She must be a new lawyer, NO ONE KNOWS WHO SHE IS. She overcharges current rate at $300/hr compared to $250/hr, I've gotten bills for things she never did, i.e. conversations we never had, got charged for texting her while I was already paying her to be in the court room from the waiting room, charged me for calls and voicemails she supposedly made to me when I don't even have a voicemail nor got any call. Chaged me for firing her after she was fired. The worst part... she is easily distracted and manipulated in the court room by other attorneys. While in court she stumbled mumbled and backtracked during a custody case almost flopping the entire thing. She's very rude when u let her know your seeking other representation and proceeds to be very petty at all situations leading from there. Horrible experience. Will not ever recommend her. Hoping to save someone else from her pep talks to her flopping your case in court. I tried to not demean her when I let her go by not telling her she sucked. I avoided the question why. Made her more petty and childish about the entire situation. It was a nightmare. Fired her over a month ago and just got my most recent invoice with new charges this month after already being fired. Take a chance if u wish. Avoid if your smart.

A friend whom has no luck found a good attorney here. I went for a traffic violation. Charles was upfront and told me exactly what could, would and should happen and it did. Needed the appeal just as he said and the ticket was reduced to a non moving violation as he and I hoped. Never had a better traffic attorney. In Virginia Beach, YOU NEED ONE! This guy is it!.
