This law firm was able to obtain the details of me receiving a traffic ticket and sent me a letter claiming to be able to help me with their services. I called and got an answering service which took a message and passed it on. An attorney called me back several days later and told me it would cost me $375 for a court appearance on a $170 traffic ticket. The attorney claims that in the long run this would save me on insurance costs, however driver improvement courses which will remove these points off my license would cost $25 a course.

Overall the attorney on the phone was rather nice, but something about mailing out these letters just leaves a bad taste in my mouth seeing them engage in such advertising behavior expected from a common credit card company doesn't sit well with me.
