In my case, I tried to settle on my own. Opposing counsel was very aggressive and pushed me to a point where I had to hire someone. I am so thankful for James Scott and his office for guiding me through this difficult process. Mr. Scott educated me, protected me, and fought for me. I highly recommend a consultation with Mr. Scott before you hire anyone else. I sleep very well at night knowing that opposing counsel bit off more than he could chew.

Unfortunately attorneys like this are all too common in the Family Law field.

Please be informed, when speaking with an attorney, there is only 1 piece of information they need for a consultation... the opposing parties name, to establish any conflict of interest. It obviously should be no problem to give them your name as well... but, when a firm like this one, wants your name, profession, email address, name of the company you work for and more...all before they pass you on to an attorney, something is up. Believe that.
I respectfully declined providing my email and business name... they hung up!
I called back in shock and they demand the information or they would not provide a consultation.
1 know of 1 other firm with a 5 star rating that makes people sign non disclosures in exchange for 5 stars and refunds... when the firm fails to represent with dilligence and the client gets screwed in court...
And with the information this firm collects, I'm guessing they have some sort of similar scam or maybe a blackmail system to keep their ratings high.

After previously failing miserably with two other divorce attorneys, I finally found the right one... Mr Jim Scott. Jim was certainly the right man for the job! His staff and the other attorneys in his office were excellent as well. For starters I was facing a $35k court sanction before Jim got on board. Not only did he get me out of the court sanction, he also negotiated an excellent settlement deal for me! Very pleased!

The office receptionist is very friendly when I called. I had my free consultation and the gentleman I spoke with is very thorough and knowledgeable. He sounded very sincere and wanted what was best for me.
