Reviews
The one good review she has is from a friend NOT a client. PLEASE fathers look anywhere but with Paula Kleinman when you’re fighting for your children.
Just an example, I asked this woman “what did you do for me” the MAIN thing I asked of her was to have non supervised visited after they were requested by the mother after a brain injury and look at her response-
Please review the custody order wherein I negotiated you to have no supervised visits and mother to pay one-half of day. Please review the DCSS wherein the one-half payment of the professional supervision will take be applied.
“No supervised visits AND mother to pay half”
What is mother paying half of, if I was granted “no supervised visits”? Which I wasn’t! Also mother made the OFFER to take HALF OF THE PAID SUPERVISOR OUT OF MY ALREADY OVER $2000 in child support a month NOT Paula Kleinman.
Please parents PLEASE for your children, do not put your relationship with your child in this woman’s hands.
Paula and her staff have a nice front. But once you give them the retainer they halt work on your file. It took Paula 3.5 months to file my original paperwork after the initial meeting. At the original meeting Paula said I had bad breath and it smelled like bad sausage possibly due to my terminal illness. I do have a terminal illness and have never known anyone to be so grossly rude to point it out or to insult me in such a way. After Paula filed the initial paperwork, I didn't hear from her again till I finally again said what's next. I was actually prompted to call when my I complained to a friend I never heard from Paula again. She said what about your billing statements? I had been with Paula and had never recieved a billing statement for 3 months. When I asked for it, there were charges each month as if I she had been working. She said it was my fault my file wasn't moving forward. But when I got my statements it sure looked like there was work being done. I was being charged for my ex calling to chat about his paperwork since he didn't have an attorney and didn't understand his forms. I was being charged for forms being reviewed by another attorney. I was charged for serving my ex the income and debt declaration and filing it. It actually was never served and never filed. The assistant herself was so disorganized and was replaced by Paula and the new one was again disorganized and had me charged for things that did not happen or even advance my divorce. But put money on the pocket of her, Paula and the other Attorney Paula. They as a team used me, took advantage of me, made me feel bad about myself saying the cruel things, I have a terminal illness could I Breath in another direction. I am appalled at this office and I do have a terminal illness. Never would I treat a client with such gross behavior. I would want to be kind and earn their business and get them through the tough time. I have been with my current attorney after Paula for 3 months and my divorce settlement has been agreed on by all parties. In the 8.5 months I was with Paula, only thing she did to move my file forward was to file the original paperwork. That cost me $2300. My current attorney completed my divorce in 3 months for $4500. Paula and her staff absolutely do not care about People. They care about their pockets. All I heard was Paula talk about was her Son and her horse. It made me feel like my case was extremely unimportant. I am reporting her to the Bar and I encourage anyone else to report her. She shouldn't be practicing Law for anyone. She hurts people and so does her staff.
Initially, I tried to handle my case myself but after going to court I quickly realized I was in way over my head. I contacted Paula at the last minute, leaving her less than a week to familiarize herself with my case. Instead of turning me away, she just looked at her schedule and started naming off dates and times she could squeeze me in to prepare for court. Paula was incredibly easy to work with and showed great compassion for what I was going through. Obviously, family court is never going to be a fun or happy experience but my meetings with Paula managed to lighten the mood and gave me the confidence to keep going. She did her best to keep our costs down every step of the way. For instance, we were trying to obtain court records from out of state and for some strange reason the court charged far less if you used a Discover card. My husband and I just sat back and laughed as Paula rushed around her office trying to find anyone with a Discover card. She also gave me options I didn’t even know existed. Paula effectively negotiated with everyone involved and reached an agreement we could all accept, thus, ending any future court appearances, lawyers’ fees and most importantly the stress and pain this ordeal was causing my family and me. I firmly believe Paula’s tactful persistence is the only reason I was able to end this painful chapter in my life so quickly.
Paula will fight tooth and nail for her clients but she does so with tact and class. That is why I would whole-heartedly recommend Attorney Paula Kleinman to all my friends, family and even strangers on the street if they were in need of an outstanding family lawyer.
