I was involved in a trust litigation matter after my mother’s death. I hired an attorney to handle my case for me and he was doing outstanding work for me in the litigation process. Unfortunately, the attorney representing the trustee we were litigating against asked the court to remove my attorney from the case based on my attorney hiring a former employee of the opposing attorney’s law firm. The judge in my case felt bad for me but felt that my attorney had to be removed from the case and I needed to find another attorney to continue the trust litigation. I was referred to Stewart Albertson. Stewart met me and was sympatric about having my first attorney removed from the case. Stewart quickly got up to speed on my case and suggested that we move forward with a pre-planned mediation. Stewart suggested we use a qualified mediator who could hopefully help resolve this complex matter. Ultimately, we mediated the case and were able to settle on terms that I am happy with. I can now move on from this painful experience knowing I did what I was required to do to keep my mother from being taken advantage of. I highly recommend Stewart and his partner, Keith Davidson, to anyone needing trust or estate litigators.

After hiring (and firing) a bad lawyer that damaged my trust case severely, I called Stewart Albertson and Keith Davidson who initially gave me a free consultation regarding my father's trust over the phone. Kayla (their amazing paralegal) was so kind and listened to my whole (very long) situation before handing me off the Stewart and Keith. My case was extremely complicated in that my father's trust was ambiguous on which of his six children were to receive a share of the children's trust and my sister and I were essentially being pushed out of the trust.
I also live in another county. Knowing my case was a difficult one, Stewart and Keith flew out (all I had to do was pick them up from the airport) to visit my family and I to discuss the case further in detail. When I met them in person, they exceeded my expectations of how attorneys are portrayed. Our previous attorney did not have our best interest in mind and unfortunately damaged our side of the case beyond repair. Stewart and Keith were aware of this and were very patient with my situation, knowing we were completely taken advantage of by another lawyer.
Both lawyers were genuine and honest with me regarding my case and gave me the best possible advice I could have received...all in a timely manner, too. When I reluctantly chose to let the court decide my fate in my father's trust instead of allowing Stewart and his team to represent me, he was so understanding, offering me his own personal wisdom, which means more to me than any amount of money. I am truly heartbroken that I was not able to hire Stewart but I am immensely appreciative of him and his partners at Albertson and Davidson, LLP.

I had three Trustees who refused to communicate or work with me on any level. They were rude, hateful, dishonest, and they did not care about me or my interest in the Trust. My trust was losing money month after month. I went to several lawyers for help and they told me that nothing could be done, and that I didn't have a case! I then met with Stewart Albertson at Albertson & Davidson, LLP and he accepted my case. Stewart helped me when no one else wanted to! After several years of aggressive litigation by Stewart and his team, he was able to get the three Trustees removed, not an easy thing to do under California law. A new trustee, receptive to my needs, was appointed. I will soon be receiving an outright distribution from the Trust. I can’t thank Stewart and his team enough for all they did for me. They take a personal interest in their clients, and genuinely care about them. They go above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend Stewart and Albertson & Davidson, LLP to anyone who is a beneficiary being abused or mistreated by Trustees.
After my father died, I learned that an extended family member had taken advantage of him and caused him to create a trust three days before he died. The trust disinherited my sister and I, the only children of my father. I researched several law firms and came across Albertson & Davidson, LLP. I called them and explained the situation and they said they could help. They assigned our case to attorneys Stewart Albertson and Jeff Hall. Stewart and Jeff jumped on our case and immediately filed a trust contest to invalidate the fake trust that was created three days before my father died. Jeff took the drafting attorney’s deposition and uncovered facts that would make a reasonable attorney in the same position suspect undue influence was taking place over my father. Then, Jeff took one of the extended family member’s deposition who would gain by the trust. Jeff was able to uncover significant discrepancies in this extended family member’s story of how the trust was created. The opposing attorney in this matter stated in open court that his clients would never agree to mediate this matter prior to trial. But after Jeff’s deposition of the extended family member, the opposing attorney’s clients apparently had a change of mind and agree to a mediation. Stewart and Jeff appeared with my sister and I at the mediation. After a long day, and much back and forth, we were able to come to an agreement that made us believe we held the opposing side responsible for the creation of the trust, and provided an inheritance to us that we believe was intended to be made to us by our father. My sister and I are very happy with the representation we received from Albertson & Davidson, LLP and highly recommend them for trust and probate litigated matters.
