I have been back and forth in court since last August/September. I'm sure that as a client, I have taken her and her team over the top sometimes due to the constant calling and emailing for status updates, but that's because it seemed as if I wasn't getting information back or updates. There were times when I would call or email because something happened or I needed to know how something was going and I wouldn't hear back from her or the team until I would call them back for an update weeks later. However, I understand that attorneys and the teams are busy and that I am not the only client. If you hire her, you may have to call or email to get status updates every now and then, but besides that minor communication problem, she is a great attourney. She showed concern and cared for my daughter and I and she didn't want anything but the best and what was right for us. She is very easy to talk too and her staff was as well. Every issue that came up, they informed me and suggested the best course of action to resolve. The transaction become more complicated over time but they never let me feel like I was a bother and I know they had to be annoyed because I was. If I am ever faced with any legal issues in North Carolina, I will call her office first. We have the same last name and are not family, but she treated me like a favorite cousin.

Living in FL I hired this attorney for her to represent me in NC. They asked me for a retainer fee of $5000 in a way for her to represent me. I started paying little by little due to I can not afford that amount easily. I never received a contract or any document at all explaining how my funds will be handled. It took a year for me to received my first statement of account even the many times that I requested it before. When I received the first statement it was showing that the first $2000 had been withdraw instantly. Nobody was able to explain me why. It was not until the case finished when I received a letter from the attorney explaining what she did with my funds. She explained to me that from my retainer fee of $5000 the offices earned $2000 automatically. From the remaining $3000 she charged the work performed and she send me a check of 9 hundred something dollars. I just got chocked and I claimed to her my $2000. I advised to her that I will fight for it but her answer and unprofessional behavior was that she will not give me my money back and that if I accuse her she will accuses me of threatening her, REALLY !!! It is totally dishonest, ripoff and abusive behavior from this attorney adding to it that she knew my illness condition of MS. I went through Bar Assoc of NC. I had to wait for a year for them to see my case of dishonesty. Recently they send me the conclusion stating that they do not return or work with retainer fees, REALLY ?

Procrastination! idk... maybe I got them at a busy time...

Booked an appointment to meet with attorney White. Paid $100 for the consultation. Ms. White arrived 30 minutes late with no apology for her late arrival. The paralegal also wouldn't give me a rough price guide even with all pertinent information pertaining to my case. Requested a refund was only offered a mailed check. Very disappointed. Wasn't offered the options of waiving the consultation fee in compensation for our time/her late arrival.
