They handled the closing of my house sale. They never sent a preliminary settlement. I got to see all the documents for the first time only a couple hours before I had to sign them. They were going to be closed on a federal holiday and did not communicate properly that. They definitely have room to improve.

Getter Law Offices handled my closing and I do not have a single complaint! Now I may be biased since my sister works for Getter Law but her and the staff were nothing but amazing. I received numerous emails during my home buying process, and any question I had was answered very quickly. Even though I live in Greenville, NC I would highly recommend Getter Law to all my friends!

Getter Law handled closing for a property I sold. They were mostly ok. Communication was mostly good. They were mostly responsive to my questions.

I have one complaint, and I apologize for the length, but I want to be accurate to be fair.

- Incoming wire info for my bank is complicated: The bank name and routing number are for an intermediary bank. The account name and number are for my bank (Schwab). And there's a "for further credit to" field that must be set to my name and account number.
- Getter Law's wire transfer form does not have a place to write "for further credit to" information.
- While filling out the form I wasn't sure how to enter my wire info so I asked their legal assistant whom I'd been interacting with. She (incorrectly) advised me to write my name as the account name, and so I did.
- At the same time that I filled out Getter Law's wire form I also dropped off some documents from my attorney. One of them included my full, correct wire info.
- About a week later (but still before closing) I realized that the information on Getter Law's wire form wouldn't work for my account and I contacted the legal assistant and explained my mistake. She acknowledged my email and I thought she understood.
- On a subsequent phone call with the legal assistant I believe I asked about the wire info and we were in agreement that they would use the correct information (but I don't have documentation of this phone call).
- The day after closing, someone from their office called me and said that sending the wire transfer failed. We read through the information she was trying and I believe that it was correct. She said she tried again and it failed again. I said that mailing me a check was fine.
- When I received the check it was for $50 less than the expected amount. I emailed the legal assistant and asked about the difference and she said it was a fee they charged for returned wire transfers and that it was mentioned on the wire transfer form.

The form says, "If wrong information is provided, there will be a delay in receiving funds and a $50 return wire fee deducted from the transfer."

I pointed out that I believe the info I provided to them was correct (though I admit that the account name I wrote on their form initially was incorrect). They've been unhelpful and unapologetic and have not refunded my $50.

I was already annoyed at having to wait basically an extra week to get paid due to their inability to send a wire transfer. Getting charged a $50 fee on top of it is infuriating.

I have used so many closing attorneys in Raleigh Durham and Chapel Hill over the last 10 years and I cannot say how refreshing it is to work with an attorney like Anita! She is on top of everything and is very accommodating. I have moved all of my closings to her and could not be happier. She lives up to her firm's tag line and truly makes closings easy!

Elizabeth has helped 2 of my relatives with their house closings. Both took the time to report back to me and thank me for referring Elizabeth. I highly recommend them. Plus they cover every county in North Carolina!

I have closed over $100,000,000 in residential mortgage loans and Getter Law is my first choice and only recommendation as title rep and closing attorney. She is by far the best I have ever worked with, closes anywhere in the state of NC and with whom I closed my own mortgage with as well.
