I was so very delighted to discover this venue on which I can share my experiences, thoughts, and description of our professional relationship with attorney Stephen Foster. My great fortune in locating Stephen occurred through his wife, Ashley Botard Foster, who has been my attorney for over a decade. Although she consistently provided us with stellar advice and care, she was unavailable as she was campaigning for judge! I will admit that, initially, we did feel a bit uneasy and apprehensive as we had never had the opportunity to meet Stephen in the past.Our Case involved our adult, autistic son and it was quite serious.We were both incredibly frightened and stressed. We were really struggling to eat and sleep.
Finally, the time came for our appointment to meet Stephen and discuss all that we should expect in court. Zachary generally does poorly when meeting new people. Nevertheless, Stephen has a contagious calmness about him which penetrates your being and makes one truly hopeful- believing that the best result IS going to occur!! He somehow uses this gift along with his genuine personality which can be both very friendly or intense depending on the situation- meaning that he is a super nice guy to be around but is VERY serious about his cases and I believe that is probably the most important thing for him. After all, that is why we are hiring him- for his expertise and his preparation (which he must have done MUCH of in our case!!!) I mentioned earlier that I was hoping for the best possible results. Well. As it turned out, I was oblivious to what that even was. Stephen Foster won the case and obtained a result that I didn’t even know was possible to acquire!!!! He had to repeat the outcome to me multiple times as I was in disbelief!!! It was way too good to be true. For a tiny split second, we considered that he may be magical! I went so far as to offer him additional money over what our signed contract stated. He declined. Obviously, I recommend Stephen Foster without reserve!! I will never hire any other attorney, other than Stephen, now that Ashley will be a judge.

Stephen listened to my case and agreed with me that I was innocent of the charges against me but was apparently not aware of Federal Rules and Guidelines. He entered a motion for me to withdraw my plea long past the time allowed to do so. Judge Biery questioned Stephen's competency and experience in Federal court during the hearing, denied the request and threw me into Federal prison immediately, even though I was scheduled to self report after I had my restitution hearing.

My appeal attorneys were especially hard on Stephen as he did not properly address the issue of restitution nor demand any evidence proving that I was responsible for any loss. Dr. Steven Goldblatt from the University of Georgetown Law Center, my appeal attorney, said that Stephen ruined all the goodwill I had carefully built up with the court before. I won the appeal when it was revealed that the prosecution had no evidence at all, but they were never forced to reveal that until my appeal in New Orleans, long after the damage had been done as it took twenty months to get my appeal in front of the appeals court, then another month and a half to get back to the trial court, traveling like a caged animal with armed guards and strip searches at every stop.

Stephen apologized to my wife but never offered to return his fee to her which would have helped her immensely to cover her bills while I was in prison. Both appeal attorneys said that was the least he should have done after such a damaging mistake.

I would not recommend using Stephen in Federal Criminal Court.

I have asked him again to return his fee and am still awaiting a reply.

Contacted Mr. Foster's office to learn potential options available regarding an estate issue. Mr. Foster was very helpful in listening to the situation and providing guidance on the initial steps to take for addressing possible resolution to the issue.

As a business owner that has been disregarded and marginalized by other attorneys over the past year, it is refreshing to speak with the senior attorney and that he takes the time needed to completely understand my situation. Respect for me goes a LONG way and Stephen Foster delivers. I suggest not settling on counsel until you have spoken with Stephen.
