Allow me to share with the world how my divorce in 2013 was a horrible experience. Went with a law office (will not mention) that was mediocre. I thought going with a lawyer would help me in my situation since this was my first time going through a divorce and a custody battle. That law office was horrible made me feel like it was all my fault and then when we went to court I lost and had to go back 3 times to finally be able to see our kids. I lost faith in the law and court system of Riverside county and felt I had no rights and that the Riverside court was “Pro Mom” and did not care for dads rights. Then my ex wants to take me to court AGAIN and take away our kids from me. I was so scared that this time was going to be like last time and I might lose more time with our kids.
UNTIL the Law offices of H. William Edgar from the beginning heard me, understood, and made me feel like I had rights. Mr. Edgar, my attorney, was absolutely amazing! Not only was it him, his entire team is WORLD CLASS!!! From the moment I walked in, to the moment I met Mr. Edgar and even during the entire process including Mrs. Vivian Corona I felt I had an army on my side. As a father who thought “I have no rights” or “believe in the court system” this meant the world to me. Following the guidance and putting my trust in The Law Offices of Mr. Edgar was the best move I ever did, only wish I would found them in 2013. I believe that God works in mysterious ways and I truly was lead to this Law Office because my final court hearing I got what I always wanted!!! I am now a father that stand proud and Mr. Edgar kept his word I now see our kids more time and they helped me understand my rights, because as fathers we do have rights and Mr. Edgar and his team gave me back my voice!!! I appreciate you guys and I know this team cares, values, and truly hear you out.

At first I was not sure if I got the right office or attorney. After my last court case with my sons mother, things where on the positive side. Brian Dow my attorney made big movement in my case and rotated my worries on the case to positive expectations on the out come. Motivated to see the final out come.

Was really excited and hopeful I picked the right office. But that quickly changed. Amanda was suppose to have a letter for me in the beginning of January. I left a message for her all I got was an email with an attachment of the letter. A letter that wasn't even close to what we discuss in our meeting. I received a second letter which needed one correction and still have not heard from her. John Cannon hasn't even contacted me to see how my case is going.

I'm afraid how much I will be charged for making that call. I was charges for changing my appointment time. 1200 dollars wasted. I do not want to work with Amanda. I don't think I should be charge for your mistakes.

They just take your money and they do not help u at all don't go here they will tell u what u wanna hear then take your money and ingore u dog u out and then you will be stuck with a big fat bill for nothing

H. William Edgar's attorney Brian Dow is "awesome". Brian Dow represented me in Riverside while I live and work 3 states away. Bill edgar is the worst attorney you can find in city or county wide to represent you. He is a #1 liar. To get your money. He will promise the world and represent himself as a expert. He will lie and will say "Yes, i personally will represent you in court". Once you sign contract and give him the money. He will disappear and his office will take your messages and he will not return your call or even show up in court. He will send someone else who is getting paid $50 to represent you. While he charges you $350 to $450 per hour. His firm will say nothing to safe you in court. You be better talking on your own to court and do a better job. Whatever the other party attorney demands. They just accept and dont argue anything. Then make up fake stories why they did not fight other law firms. Even your 5 year old child can do better than bill edgar law firm and they will accept 5 years old kid demand and walk out. Do not trust his experience like he mentioned on his and other websites. There's nothing to prove only his bs. I be better off defending yourself than this firm. They just talk high but no actions in court. All lies. If you are looking to lose abd give everything to other parties demands. Then i highly recommend them. They have proven losses more than wins.

Been waiting for my house money for 5 months. They WILL NOT respond to me at all but they take my money! O have contacted the BAR and am filing a formal complaint. More people need to file with the BAR and stop this crook from screwing over anyone else!

I will not even give this law firm one star. except to post a review you must give them at least one star. I started my divorce a year ago and they have done no work to help me bring it to a resolution. I get no responses from my lawyer and have been bounced around to three different paralegals. Run, run, run away from this law firm. They are the most unprofessional people I have had to work with.

Mr. Edgar was my divorce attorney and lead me to the slaughter house. Brad Landon in Old Town Temecula, on the other hand, is the BEST family law atty. He knows family law inside and out. In fact, he has taken Judge Warren to appeals court a few times and won.
Read on for detailed info re: MY unpleasant experience with Mr. Edgar.

In my divorce case, Mr. Edgar totally gave into my ex's atty, Michelle Penna, and consequently ill-advised me to submit to Penna's a stipulation to lower spousal support because I was not paying my mortgage - a process needed to qualify for "mortgage modification". But, he said my original support woud be reinstated.

A month later, my modification was approved. I poured more $$ into Mr. Edgar's pockets hoping for some kind of response - ANY response to my requests to get a hearing and hopefully reverse Penna's stipulation that I SHOULD NOT have signed!

Over <$6k later, I ended up not being able to rent an apartment because of my very poor credit (thanks to Fanny Mae for me having to "prove" I needed a modification), while my ex (a pilot) skated away with our assets.

First of all, why didn't Mr. Edgar have my ex pay me for half of our assets that he took?

Secondly, why didn't Mr. Edgar have my ex pay for MY atty fees? At that time I was a stay-at-home-mom, waiting for my disability to be approved and using my IRA to pay atty fees. Wrong! There was an obvious disproportionate amount of income.

Not unlike dealing with doctors, ALWAYS get a second opinion (and use a better atty than Mr. Edgar).

I may have spoke too soon on my original review. I will update this review in a week to make it a FULL review. : Nicole has been one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with. If you are looking for an attorney for this type of case, Nicole is for sure who you want in your corner. She may not have the time to respond to my every message but I know she gets them and she will respond if needed sometimes even before replying to my message, she is on it already. She will not always tell you what you want to hear but she is honest as can be and will not sugar coat anything just to get you to hire her. She will fight and fight hard for you. There is just not enough good things to say about our experience with Nicole. There is not a single thing I could complain about or say negatively about how Nicole has helped us out so much. Nicole has already gone above and beyond what any other attorney would have because she honestly cares about the cases she works and the families she helps. If you need the absolute best around and someone that knows the system extremely well you need to hire Nicole and let her help you out in your battles. There is no one other I would want on my side for the reasons I hired her. Nicole also has an extremely good reputation in the local system and no one has ever had anything bad to say about her unless maybe you ask the other side, I can not imagine they think as highly of her but that makes me feel all that much better about hiring Nicole when I saw the fear on the other sides face when she walked in to represent me.

Nobody likes being in a situation where you need a lawyer but if you find yourself needing legal help, this is the place. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and they do what they say they'll do.

So when I first came in I got a attorney with them he came to my court hearing then left the office to go to another office on my last hearing. So the company gave me a new attorney who didn’t know what was going on and didn’t contact me until my last court date. He was nice then out of no where he told me I was not going to win the case to get full or majority custody my ex already agreed to getting 50/50 but I wanted more do to my daughter safety. But with what he said I felt discourage and just agreed to what he wanted me to sign so I just went with it cause with all the stress with the courts and everything that was going on I wanted it to be over with. Few mouth has pass a paralegal called me to check up on me I told her my experience and was disappointed in there services she told me she will tell the attorney that was working my case about how I felt. Few mins later he ends up calling me yelling at me stating I was blaming him for everything when he and then putting blame on me trying to make me feel like I was my fault this I didn’t get what I want the all the evidence I had was Irrelevant to winning I just ignore what he said cause he was very unprofessional and stating the original attorney I had was not experienced then he was that he was better then him. If anyone is going to get a attorney I would recommend not going with this company there receptionist and clerks are good but there attorney are rude and unwilling to help you as much as they can. You will waste allot of money on them for just losing a case.

The law office was very polite and helpful. They did all my paperwork that was needed for court and was very professional. I have been very happy that they helped in my time of need.

I terminated John Cannon, He was a horrible lawyer! I would say He is a thief, dishonest. He didn't help me or keep his word or keep in touch with me at all. He took my case because He saw it as easy money. When my court date came He wasn't there. He said He would refund me $500.00 instead He charged me $744.00 over my retainer fee. For paperwork that should have been given to me in court. Calls that were 5 minutes long and threaten to send my extra fees to collections. I called the California Bar of association. This man is going down. Don't trust him or his sincere frad conversations. He will definitely regret his actions.

I am 100% satisfied with my experience here! The staff are professional and very helpful. They definitely made everything much less stressful on me through a very stressful time.

I contacted a few law offices before … Finally, I chose The Law offices of William Edgar the way they greeted me made me feel like a very important client and took consideration for any conditions I had at the time , very knowledgeable an answer every question . Too expensive, slow, unprofessional. It’s been nearly two years and over $10k, still haven’t found the time to get me divorced...yet the fees keep adding up??? It’s to the point where I’ve decided to fire them and take on the courts myself.

I would never recommend this law office . They charge every time you call or e-mail them just to ask why nothing has been yet . They give terrible advice as if there working for the other side . They change your lawyer and paralegal without notice . They still charge when don’t show up for court and lie in your face about it . I paid over 9 thousand dollar and got zero resolution and it’s been over a year . They even tryed to have me sign paperwork with wrong information that would benefit the other side . I’m trying to get another lawyer because there still trying to charge me for things they never did .

Bad News. They engaged in wilful perjury to the court assisting in fraudulent conveyance of title, and grand theft over 75k. They even falsified in filing in perjury claiming i had 4 gun convictions in orange county, no I am no convicted felon and have no gun charges. My parents paid for a criminal records check done by state of calif doj which came back no criminal record at all, after my dad claimed fake warrant appeared at a divorce hearing in long beach. So they knew how to create false records claim, and I was told to keep it in my wallet at all times. I explained this to rep of Riv Sup Court Presiding Judge. Edgars perhaps got caught in a fashion doing his perjury filing. I have pending litigation seeking 15 md against Edgar and each asssociate for their tort acts. Bad news.

Was really excited and hopeful we picked the right office. But that quickly changed. We were told that it should take 6 - 8 weeks. That when a child is involved they like to work faster. That’s not true. My case took forever. It tooks months and not because of the court. It’s the paralegals they take there sweet time to do anything. And for them to call you back could take weeks. Elizabeth is the worst of them all. They seem to forget that we hired them and that’s how they get paid. This was a very emotional time for my husband and I. They had no care in the world that the poor service we received was taking a huge toll on us. We talked to Mr Edgar hoping it would change. Nope still the slow lazy service. I’m thankful that the other party didn’t show to court and we were granted what we were asking for. Otherwise we were so worried that we had chosen the attorney. Me Edgar could be a great attorney but really needs to get a staff who works for the customer. I would not recommend this company to no one.

Atty John Cannon explaind the process well which reduced my apprenhension. He kept his head and humor during negociations. Was clearly a needed friend during proceedings. He was quick to threten sanctions against the other party when they were unnecessarily difficult.

So I ended up with exactly what was right. You will be fortunate to have him as your advocate. Minimize your trouble.

John Cannon has been excellent! He's helped me with all my questions and replies back to me quickly, I have recommended this firm to my family friends and colleagues.

I wouldn't go here and definitely having to pay thousands of dollars to be ignored and have my case on hold for months. I had the worst experience paid for an attorney and nothing was really done on my case but the bill. I ended up wasting $3000 dollars and still don't have custody daughter only a bill for 1200... Plus I wasted filing fees... Just pay a document prep service

It is my hope that you read this review and come away feeling secure in your decision to retain the services of Jeremy Roark and the Law Office of H. William Edgar. To begin, I was a client of Jeremy Roark since 2015. When we first met, I had an approximate custodial timeshare of 10% along with trying to prevent my daughter's mother from relocating to New Jersey. When I secured small victories along the way (i.e. a significant increase in the timeshare), it was because I followed Jeremy's sound advice. He consistently made himself available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Also, the entire team at H. William Edgar, at some point, lent their help with my case. When my case went to trial, I prevailed. My victory was the collective effort of so many devoted professionals, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Also, when it came to billing the clerks and billing department made it easy to understand the cost and charge of everything. In addition to this, if I had a question regarding a charge the office would respond back to me in a timely manner. I was never overcharged or had any unnecessary services billed to me, and I enjoyed same day payment processing. I will end this review with this, if the concept of family is important to you then I hope you entrust yours as I did to the best team of lawyers and clerks in Riverside County.

worst attorney ever, missed filing dates, charged me unnecessarily, would not return call or provide status of court cases, left the country when he was to be in court on my case then quit on me, said I was to agressive in wanting to know what is going on in my cases. maby if he had of called and informed me as to what was going on and not lied to about things I would not have been so agressive as to wanting to know what was going on with my case.

Attorney Bill Edgar PICKED UP MY MESS FROM ANOTHER ATTORNEY WHOM I JUST FIRED. From paternity tests and issues, to past visitation and bio-mom trying to block every way I tried to interact with my son...whom I had not known till his 6th birthday when CPS called me asking if I wanted to go to my child custody hearting. I decided then and there to ride it all the way out.
My ex married someone else after a two week relationship with me. They named my son their name, one the birth cert., awarded him to bio-mom in their divorce-after notifying me via CPS. weird circumstances to say the least.
If a parent (man) does not assert his paternal relationship with 2 years of birth, the privilege of parenthood goes to whomever the mother deems. I was 4 years past the statute and Bill Edgar Law contested it and won!
Many other things came up in the case (which began when my son was 9). It lasted 2-1/2 years. I had to prove bonding-done. I had to build a foundation for a 730 evaluation-done. I WAS AWARDED SOLE LEGAL AND SOLE PHYSICAL CUSTODY AFTER BEGINNING WITH NO RIGHTS AT ALL.. NOW MY SON PROUDLY HAS MY SUR NAME ON HIS NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!!
I owe it all to Bill Edgar and his trained team.

I would like to thank Mr. Edgar for his skill in handling a very difficult case in relation to retaining my parental rights, and ultimately being able to build a relationship with my precious son P…. by enabling me to be treated fairly without resistance, just as I have allowed his mom to exercise her rights in raising our son. Not only did Mr. Edgar take extensive time to ask the right questions during the deposition of the other party, he has also been able to otherwise expose the other party’s family member’s complete unwillingness to cooperate at all, and even their continued attempts to cover up all the “inconvenient” truths of the matter. He has also been patient with me, and understanding about some of the unforeseen financial challenges I have been dealing with, and his assistance has been greatly appreciated to ensure equal parental rights are being preserved.

I chose this attorney based on the reviews but it ended up being a horrible mistake for handling my divorce. He was not attentive to my case, did not provide good advice and he did not review the material I provided him which resulted in him not knowing pertinent details. He and his staff also had the worst communication and professional demeanor, making costly billing mistakes and costing me more time and money and very slow and rude communication. He never seemed to care, he filed the wrong paperwork and didn't take the case seriously, almost costing me everything in the divorce, but fortunately I fired him and found another attorney that won my case.

Attorney Bill Edgar was very professional and knowledgeable. This was a very difficult time for me and my children but Mr. Edgar and his staff were thoughtful and considerate during this sensitive time in my life. I initially retained another local attorney which used half of my retainer doing essentially nothing. My ex husband had a local respected attorney which initially intimidated me but Mr. Edgar's office was always one step ahead.On our court day I was very pleasantly surprised to recognize that Mr. Edgar had a great reputation with the court and especially with the judge which made me feel very reassured. I had a really good outcome and would highly recommend this office for any of your family law needs.

Compassion and attorney are words that aren't often used in the same sentence, but I can here. Bill represented me in a no-nonsense, professional, and effective manner. I had never been to family court, but Bill took the fear out of it for me with his representation. Divorce proceedings are complicated; when custody is placed into the equation it becomes exponentially so. Bill worked to settle things outside of court whenever he could, even arranging for 4-Way meetings. The office staff is courteous, competent, and supportive.
