If you want to pay the paralegals with no experience, and associates that graduated from Charlotte School of Law ( which, by the way, no longer exists because it was closed down) partner rates/copious amounts of cash without them ever helping your case, this is your place.

They charged $5.5K for a 5 page motion. That wasn’t to go to court or anything. Just to file it.

I am filing charges in court and reported them to the Bar. It’s seriously really bad. You are warned.

I have worked with HLG and specifically Paul DeJesse & Alexa Carini for an extended period of time on a very complicated and unusual family law issue. They have been thorough, attentive, well-prepared and supportive throughout the process. Adversarial legal proceedings are never fun and usually very stressful, however the HLG team has always been thoughtful and honest with their approach, and striven to provide the optimal outcome not just for myself as their client, but also for other parts of the family who otherwise would be negatively affected. They have done a first rate job and I would thoroughly recommend them.

When your attorney spends more time asking if you can get your hands on more money (to pay him) than working on your case, you know you've gone to the wrong place. Do you think it is appropriate to require the client be escorted to the bathroom with a chaperone in their own office?? Be prepared to be pay the lawyer's hourly wage and the paralegal's hourly wage to do clerical duties. Be prepared to pay "consultations" to other lawyers in the group without your prior consent.

My best advice....look elsewhere!

Hatcher Law Group and Paul DeJesse handled my very difficult and unique divorce/custody case with competence, experience and compassion.
Paul is very detail oriented and that was daunting at times but I quickly learned it was worth the "extra detail" and "work."
He makes a point to always be" more than" prepared and to plan for the unexpected. He not only spent time on the details of my case, he spent time getting to know me as a person and my child. I KNOW that made a difference in the outcome of my case.
Christy Kaliner, his paralegal never misses anything and is as tireless and as detail oriented as Paul is. She is professional, compassionate and knowlegeable to a fault.
Paul and Christy also make a point to " humanize" a divorce and custody case in a way that makes a difficult and stressfull time easier.
